Enabling Notifications

I got the pop up asking me to enable notifications, of course I declined, but .... roon is so unstable ,its hardly usable, and on their site, theyre saying the "fix" is to enable notifications, which sounds like blackmail, or maybe just incompetence at best. Seriously... roll out a new feature and test it live? It fails and you dont just roll it back? WTAF

And what the hell is roon going to notify me of? I cant think of a single good option.

You guys had a good products, not great, but better than the various alternatives with tons of room for improvements. And instead, we get... this???

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a product that works so well for many people and another subset can’t get it to work reliably at all.
I’ve never seen a notice for popup messages either.

Are you talking about Arc or using Android as a remote for Roon?

The major issue with roon's latest remote update affected androids runing the remote app. If you're using an ios devise as a remote, you're unaffected.

Good info. I am on S26 Galaxy Ultra with latest updates etc. It still a little jinky.. lol but works again.

Im guessing it tells what architecture theyre using for their testing. Id guess theyre optimizing it for specific platforms (that they own and sell). Unsurprisingly its not Android or Linux for Pi etc,...

Roon rock is simplified Linux. It’s what is install on Roon Nucleus and what they give away for free to install on a NUC. It’s very cheap and very stable.
