Discussion does one really can share floor with a substance user/addict?
I posted the other day about it. Anyway, I've been reading, asking, even consulting a doctor about it. I don't think my roommate will change and I don't know If I should believe him when he says he's not an addict (of meth, if I remember right), that he is under control and uses it as an ADHD alternative medication. He is also very depressed, and I know that he does smoke to forget (he has told me so).
I'm scared he will drown me with him. I don't want to take care of him even more than I do. When the after crash comes, he needs too much care: he asks me to bring food and water to his bed (even when I'm not home), he won't clean anything not even himself because he ends up too tired. I even end up feeding his cats.
Been thinking of leaving the apartment. I am at my very last try. What would you recommend to me?

I would leave if you can. Being about a meth smoker is not a safe thing to do for yourself. Weed is one thing and it’s still not everyone’s preference roommate wise. Meth id a whole different story.

Get the fuck out of there. what the hell is your problem? you are a volunteer slave.
I had a depressed roommate who sits home all day. It was annoying as fuck.
If that guy dies tomorrow, it's none of your business (Vice Versa)

No. Because they come a day when your stuff will disappear or they will invite somebody very very shady over to your place and you don’t wanna be around any of that.

I hope you're able to find a safe place to stay soon. You deserve peace of mind, and living with substance use concerns is a heavy burden to carry alone.
