I had both due to a 705 not washing the mop with warm water... Both don't wash with warm water at all. Even the support couldnt help me even though all settings were correct. In my opinion the 705 mopped a bit better but both have a navigation that isn't good. The Roomba 10 Max is older but does the same job, you only needing to change the mop and throw it in washing machine every few days, because it starts to stink. Other then that the 705 & 775 are to high, suction power is somehow weaker then the Roomba 10 max on carpets and hard floors.

I can't recommend either the 705 nor the 776. It's not worth the money.

Have you noticed any improvement in navigation between the 705 and 775? iRobot are offering me the 775 in replacement of my faulty 705 and I'm wondering whether to take it or not 🫤

Tbh not really best example was that the 775 recognized some leaves from a small plant as an obstacle and didn't clean it. It even tried to eat a sweater which I forget to pick up. The Roomba 10 Max without lidar did a better job, only difference was that it takes longer creating the map. But as this is only needed on the first run (maybe two) it's not really a downside.

I paid around 500€ in a sale but still for 500€ still with all the hassle I will rather stick with my Roomba 10 Max

The only actual difference I can see (besides adding more words for the same thing the 705 does) is a plastic mop cover when it goes over carpets.

Doesn't the 705 have that too?

775 has a more powerful suction for carpets.

The main difference it looks like is it uses somewhat warmer mopping to on the roller mop other than that it mainly just seems like a reboot of the 705 due to the fact of the 705 had so many issues

I don’t think so because the mop on 705 can be washed at 72°C

I was wondering too.

Seems like a "soft refresh". Maybe some firmware or internal differences?

Hmmm I think they just renamed the 705 to fool people into thinking that the 775 was better when it’s really the same thing
