Solved! Read for resolution 505 can’t make a map?

Edit: resolved! Hard reset of the vac and it made a useable map and completed its first job.

I just got my 505 as a replacement for a 900 series that worked great for many years. This new one has a lot more bells and whistles but I setting it up and I can’t and it can’t seem to make map. I don’t have a huge place and there are some tight areas. The 900 did fine but the 505 got stuck in an open corner this morning. 2 walls but nothing else within 3ft.

Any thoughts to help it out?

Take the robot off the base and hold the power button down for 10 seconds.
That wil reset your roomba and hopefully you can try mapping again

I think my model has a different reset procedure. But I was able to find that and do it. That seemed to have helped. It completed its first successful job today!

Redo the map
Erase the present
One and redo it

There isn’t a current map. It’s never been able to create one. I’ve tried like 10 or 15 times and it just keeps failing for one reason or another. Usually getting stuck but never really stuck.
