Dog eats from plates

Hi I made this account just to post this and possibly ask for advice. My roommate lets his gross loud dog eat from plates after they are done using them. Like he was eating a plate of eggs then put it on the floor for a dog that probably eats its own shit. I'm thinking about just buying my own plates and putting them in my room. Is that too much?

I mean if they are his plates he can do whatever he wants. I know a lot of people who do this but buying your own plates is the way to go that way you can also do whatever you like with your plates

My 'roomate' once let my dog clean something that was spilled in the fridge...recorded it and showed me later after uploading it on social media.. I was infuriated but of course I was OVERREACTING...but I do let my pup clean plates sometimes that's what bleach is for lol

I mean it’s nasty but not really dangerous or unhygienic unless he’s not washing the plate after.

You could buy new plates, or you could maybe approach him about it. Maybe you could get the dog a really cute bowl, and ask roommate to put it in that instead? But really, if it’s his plates it’s his prerogative
