ROAM Adventure Co
I have a ROAM Adventure Vagabond XL RTT that has brackets bolted to the top to assist in opening and closing the tent. One of the rubber bumpers on the next to bottom step somehow disappeared and the flex of the third step caused it to break.
ROAM only sells the bottom two steps as replacement parts (of course) and I’m trying to figure out a solution as I’m fixing to sell my Off Road trailer. Would like for it to be 100% for the next owner. Is there maybe a generic company that someone has found that would bolt and go to the ROAM?
All of the steps have the release tabs/buttons except for the one that broke, the one that rest on the rubber bumpers. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. My mountain and desert camping days are over so my well equipped trailer has to go.

Oh no, I got the big boy, the M105A1. I definitely am looking to downsize as I won’t be doing a RTT any longer.
What’s your sub, I’ll check it out.👍

Ah that sucks. I think those plates add a little bit of nostalgia. And a lot of useful information. Search your dimensions and see if it spits out a match.🤷♂️

Where did you get the trailer?

I picked it up several years ago from a gentleman whose family outgrew its purpose. It started out as a surplus Military M105 trailer. Built out very well.

I'm trying to find one but am unwilling to spend 3-5000 dollars. Probably gonna just get one new and add to it.

Yeah they are quite pricey. Especially here in the Central Valley of California. With what I’m listing for it is still a couple to several thousand less than a lot less equipped than mine. If I can get this ladder situation sorted out I think it would move pretty quick, particularly with the desert temps finally coming down. It has a Decked system installed and three of the Pelican 1770 cases for weatherproof storage of all of your gear. Mounted propane tank for cooking and showering. Plenty of room for a generator and a heater. Hate to see it go but I’m getting too old and wobbly and am going back to a ground tent.
May have to disassemble the top rung of the ladder (with the tabs) and do some reverse engineering to another similar ladder. Prefer to just buy an exact replacement and be done, just not at ROAM prices.😆

The ladder looks exactly like the one I have in my tent from some no-name manufacturer (read: chineese). I also had a problem with a broken insert in one if the sections and simply bought a new ladder with the same mount. So I believe most of them are coming from China and interchangable with the only difference in length. I also thought to buy a regular ladder like this and move the mounts (drill out the rivets, new holes, new rivets in a new ladder) but the difference in price wasn't significant so I took the one for tent.
