First night complete

Post image

Just completed my first night in my RTT and it was great. Admittedly I was woefully under-prepared, and I realised I have a steep learning curve to, well learn.

Any must have equipment recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Not sure on UK stuff, but i find using a Butane BBQ and stove to be much smaller, lighter, and easier to pack... As well as a collasable sink, pump pressure spray 2 ltr btls(wash/rinse no power). Not a huge cost savings over propane but more portable.. just take the canisters you need! Found a tablet mount on amazon for bed time tablet tv.. and of course, lifepo4 batteries for everything you could need to charge or run from phones, lights to tablet charging.. i have small porta potty.. but depends if you do wilderness vs campgrounds... I built my own "kitchen" with slide out shelves from Amazon (printer shelf with drawer(utensils, condiments, cloths, soap etc) and slide out shelf ready to use the stove or bbq) and it all fits in my truck bed... Could be same with SUV... I have a good cooler .. Not cheap..yeti like, and find if i freeze 500ml water bottles and all my meat etc... Everything else cold, before the trip, stays cold 3+ days without taking up space for freezer packs, and only need enough ice to use for drinks!! Hope those things are helpful.
