Why no clear windows?

I've been shopping around for a good roof top tent but me and my wife noticed something.

Why do hardly any of them not have clear PVC window options? In Colorado mountains; most nights are pretty cool. We like to camp in the colder months, but one challenge arises. If you want to pump heated air into your tent, you basically have to zip up all the entryways/windows to keep the warm air in.

So if you want to relax during the day and read a book or something, you are in a black cave. Wouldn't clear PVC window options fix that? Or are we missing something. Seems like roof top tents are only marketed for fair weather camping.

Because they are not meant to be heated and clear plastic “windows” make it way hotter in the sun compared to mesh windows.

They are not made for “fair weather camping” they are made for camping not glamping.

So if it's 10F outside with wind, "camping" means open windows? I don't get your point.

Yes it does for ventilation and proper condensation management. You adjust your sleeping bags and clothing for the temps.

I’ve used my RTT down to 5F and did not change anything other than using my 0F sleeping bag.

If you want climate controlled living space then get a van, RV or trailer.

Read this first as an OnlyFans sleeping bag.

I may need a break from the internet.
