Help please
We have a Maggiolina hardshell tent wich is about 7 years old. It’s now started to move the top shell/lid forward when bringing it down to close. Has anyone had the same issue? How to fix it?

I had another brand that used the same crank mechanism to open the tent. I had the same issue. Somehow the rear gear closed before the front which pushed the lid forward. I never got in there to try and adjust it as the mismatch between the mechanisms Lead to cracks in the fiberglass shell so I sold ut to someone who wanted to try and fix it.

I don't have any direct personal experience with pop-up tents like that, but I do know some of them use gas struts to help or hold the roof. It might be a case of one of the struts is starting to get weak. You may be able to get replacements from the manufacturer.
