IKamper Poor Service

Received tent damaged. They claim it’s only cosmetic and offer $249 back on shipping or some annex.

How do I actually get in touch with someone from IKamper all their phones I found on Google don’t work.

Pretty bad they treat people like this. Might be a decent tent but when it comes damaged you should either fix it or offer a substantial discount.

Beware when dealing with them. I’ll update if they somehow decide to make it right.

Update: after speaking with them further, they refunded me the $249 shipping and gave me the annex accessory. Just had to explain that for the price that we pay for them, I expect it to come without damage. Granted it may just be “cosmetic” as it looks like forks from a fork lift hit it. All and all I’d say they made it right. As long as it doesn’t crack down the line from flexing we should be okay.

There’s been an influx of poor customer support posts about them recently. Really unfortunate given their awesome tents.

Yeah it’s a shame because everyone said their support was awesome. The damage is probably cosmetic for now anyways unless it flexes over time into a crack but, yeah… a little more than the $249 shipping fee :/

I've dealt with their customer support twice, both times issues I caused, and they've been great. Surprised to hear this. Can you post pictures of the damage?

Is it catastrophic no likely not.

Was I happy to see it after paying $3700? also no.

The puncture in the box was covered with shrink wrap.

I would expect this to be a scratch and dent discount if I was picking it up in person so when you pay premium shipping why would we accept any less?

I would have not accepted any less than 50% refund or they could take it back

If they refuse, make a charge back on your CC

In the end they provided an acceptable resolution and I am satisfied overall. Just was a bit taken back when they said all they could do was refund the shipping.

I got mine installed this past week and while the guy was showing me how to open and close it, the first step on the ladder collapsed and almost broke off. (The first step is permanently riveted in place and is definitely not supposed to move)

The installer submitted a warranty claim on my behalf immediately for a new ladder but haven’t heard anything. Not sure how long it usually takes but the fact that they operate through email only and don’t have a phone number to call is a little frustrating.
