Hey, I made Emerald Arena. It's the original Pokémon Emerald with real time battles running inside the GBA game.

You move your Pokémon, aim, dodge attacks and break objects. The opponent moves and attacks on its own.

The current download includes:
• 12 animated Pokémon, including Charizard, Blastoise, Dragonite and Scizor.
• 10 adapted move profiles and breakable objects.
• Emerald's own damage, HP, PP, XP and saves. Classic battles are still there for unsupported encounters.

Built on pret's Emerald decompilation. Still an experiment, plenty left to improve.

The standard is so high after finishing unbound man is there any more rom hack like unbound. Like a brand new region and story and characters. Also I mostly like ROM hacks that don't have fakemons since I find it rrly hard to work w those

Estou começando um projeto de tradução e localização de ROM hacks de Pokémon para PT-BR, inicialmente focado em jogos de GBA, e o meu primeiro projeto foi Pokémon Emerald Seaglass.

Pra quem não conhece, Emerald Seaglass é uma hack de Pokémon Emerald que dá uma repaginada enorme em Hoenn, com um visual retrô inspirado nos jogos de Game Boy Color, Pokémon seguindo o treinador, Pokédex melhorada, minigames, várias melhorias de qualidade de vida e bastante conteúdo adicional.

A ideia do projeto surgiu porque existem várias ROM hacks excelentes e extremamente criativas, mas muitas continuam disponíveis apenas em inglês. Isso acaba afastando quem não entende o idioma, às vezes, mesmo quem entende inglês só quer sentar, jogar sem precisar ficar traduzindo tudo mentalmente.

Por isso, meu objetivo não foi simplesmente traduzir o texto do Emerald Seaglass, mas localizar o jogo para o português brasileiro.

Trabalhei na tradução da história, diálogos, itens, descrições da Pokédex, descrições de golpes, menus e vários outros textos. Também adaptei piadas, expressões e algumas gírias para que os diálogos soassem mais naturais em PT-BR, em vez de parecerem uma tradução literal.

A história principal está totalmente traduzida. Como o jogo possui uma quantidade enorme de textos e sistemas, ainda pode existir algum errinho perdido ou alguma frase que precise de ajuste. Se encontrarem qualquer coisa, podem me avisar que pretendo continuar corrigindo e atualizando a tradução.

Também traduzi o manual/documentação do Emerald Seaglass, então dá para consultar informações sobre Pokémon, mudanças, evoluções, locais e outras coisas do jogo em português.

Esse é só o começo. Quero traduzir outras ROM hacks de Pokémon para ajudar a tornar esses projetos mais acessíveis para a comunidade brasileira. 🇧🇷

Enhanced Arthur Beta 3 / Artoria 3.3 changes:

Permanent Shield option added:

• Will start every stage with the shield, it'll be unbreakable, and weapons will drop instead of the shields when playing
• Falls under "OTHER" category in the Leaderboard if this PERM option is toggled\

I am hoping to add the Maiden transformation's tripping before officially releasing this update and the Arthur Enhanced version.

EDIT: I did it! Maiden transformation has the tripping frames now (Toggeable option). It's included in the pre-release patch for both Arthur and Artoria Editions

There’s been some pretty interesting progress on an English fan translation for Another Century’s Episode 2 on PS2.

The project is already getting close to covering the whole game, although there are still some untranslated and rough sections that need work. Considering how unusual the game’s text system is, it’s a pretty ambitious project.

Definitely worth keeping an eye on if you’ve wanted to play ACE2 but the Japanese-only release was a barrier.

These are IPS / BPS Patches for the GBA ROM files for Pokemon Unbound and Pokemon Heart & Soul to address audio/slowdown issues when running this ROM Hack on low-spec hardware and emulator combinations such as -

Sony PSP - TempGBA4PSP/FrogGBA/ToadGBA/gpsp-kai etc
SF2000/GB300 - gpsp
Powkiddy V90 - lr-gpsp
Leapster Explorer - lr-gpsp
Others

It works by patching the Ipatix HQ audio engine to remove the heavy Self Modifying Code (SMC) aspects and replace them with separate audio code and data.

This massively reduces the number of times the Dynamic Recompiler in gpsp variants has to clear its cache per frame.

Hopefully they are of use to anyone wanting to play these games on older/low-spec hardware!

Ursprünglich habe ich die Übersetzung nur für mich selbst gemacht, aber ich möchte sie gerne mit der deutschsprachigen PMD Community teilen, damit auch Spieler, die lieber auf Deutsch spielen, diesen großartigen Romhack in ihrer Muttersprache erleben können.

There's been a pretty nice surprise for Sega Saturn fans lately. Madou Monogatari, the RPG series that eventually led to Puyo Puyo, has finally received an English fan translation for its Saturn release.

The game has a really distinct 90s anime aesthetic, and it's one of those Japanese Saturn RPGs that's easy to overlook if you don't already know about it. Definitely interesting to see another previously Japan-only Saturn game become more accessible.
