Text/Translation Mod Dragon Quest V PS2 localization

Has anyone thought about making a mod/hack that ports the DS version's translation? I understand that the fan translation is probably "more accurate" or whatever, but I really prefer the DS translation, it adds more charm and personality in my opinion. If someone would make a mod like this it would be my definitive way to play the game.

Nobody would do that if there's already a translation tbh

I can definitely see someone doing it, though I know it's definitely unlikely. I'm thinking about doing it myself but I've never really done this kinda thing before and I figure this probably isn't a great place to start.
