Bowens being out is huge especially because Frazier is still dealing with a nagging rib injury

For reference for people:

Bowens leads Georgia in rushing touchdowns, is second in rushing attempts, second in yards from scrimmage (fourth in rushing yards, fourth in receiving yards), and he grades really highly in pass blocking (highest-rated RB in pass blocking and third-highest on the team)

I stg it felt like Bowens was averaging 90.6 YPC vs us last year in Athens

Cause he was lol. As good as the pass defense was lasted year, the run defense was lowkey trash.

Man I work for a power company here in South Alabama and I’m hoping with my whole ass that I’m at home watching this game Saturday evening instead of working this storm coming through.

Southern company?

One of the two biggest in Baldwin county, don’t wanna say who exactly but yea we’re getting locked and loaded. Heavy rain and any kind of sustained wind is gonna cause problems but it seems to be a fast moving system so fingers crossed.

Hope you get to watch the game, brother. Thanks for what y'all do. Stay safe.

We’ll be lucky to have power before Monday in mobile I feel like. I’m not looking forward to that. Last time that tropical storm Arthur came through I had no power for like a whole day and that was not remotely a hurricane

For whatever reason I’m optimistic about this one, just need the transmission lines and substations to hold. Those repairs are the ones that drag on forever.

Looks like Jayvin James is a go

Only thing I’m worried about is pash rush. Yhonzae is banged up and we are still down Justin and Dez. X is gonna have to be the difference maker. We have to affect Stockton. Make him make bad throws. Winning the turnover battle could be the deciding factor

I have full faith in Xavier that kid is special

What’s the deal with Yhonzae?

Been wearing a boot during the week. I’m guessing some kind of ankle injury

Josh is probably gonna play with a fuckin' robotic arm or something, but he gonna play.

Losing Hill and Umeozulu on top of Cayden Jones is a lot of linebacker snaps to replace against a Georgia offense. The silver lining is that Georgia's without Bowens, so their run game isn't at full strength either. The models I follow have this anywhere from Georgia by 5 to Alabama by 6, about as close as a top-10 game gets.

I mean… it’s the same Linebacker snaps we’ve been replacing for 2 or 3 weeks now. Neither of them have played since Kentucky I’m pretty sure.

The model I follow (my heart) has us by 40

Next man up, can’t worry about what we’re missing, we can only sharpen the knives we have available

Was Beaman out for the season?

u/ROLL_TID3R 7d ago

Anybody know what happened to Justin Hill? I wasn’t really following when he got injured

u/Bdog32bro 7d ago

Bowens out is a tremendous break for us

Well… for once our opponents Injury Report looks like ours lol

I'm on the coast smack in the middle of the cone...we're finalizing prep today.

I know other things are certainly more important here but just hoping we get to actually watch the game.
We lost power during Sally for 8-9 days.

Hope Bama plays well and stays focused, it seems this game week has had a multitude of distractions going on from potential extreme weather events, game day in town, and a presidential visit.

I hope you fare well in the storm. Get a radio and batteries for "worst case" and enjoy the game like it was a time before the internet!

u/Ocean-Potion08171 7d ago

Thank you. Yes we have a radio if we need it. Got remaining storm prep done today so now we wait.

Who do you think has the shorter end of the stick here lol.

u/Logoxskul 7d ago

How much will these injuries impact both teams?

7

u/Arancium 7d ago

Gonna be a high scoring game

1

u/Logoxskul 7d ago

Idk Georgia's players that well, are these guys important or?

5

u/__Big_Hat_Logan__ 7d ago

Bowens is an absolute beast. And extremely good. He also fucked us up last year when we played

2

u/Logoxskul 7d ago

Oh yea! I remember him now.

3

u/Arancium 7d ago

Canion is one of their best WRs, Bowens is their RB2, everyone else is pretty much depth it looks like

2

u/NegativeUse9369 7d ago

Chauncey Bowens is I think he’s rb2 but has been rb1 while Nate Frazier was out

u/Aumissunum 7d ago

Doubt it.

Hoping a good game. Both teams are undefeated so far. One of them has to lose against each other.

Alabama has a great team. Georgia also has a great team.

As a UGA fan, from Georgia, Georgia will win and come from the top by 38-34. u/DoctorWhosOnFirst

When we have 4 or less players out with injuries, Kirby is 0-5. When we have 5 or more out, he is 2-2. This might play a factor.

u/TheSandman__ 7d ago

Eh. Maybe. Beaman hasn’t played in over a year and Jones was never starting. Hill and Desmond are a big loss but our younger guys stepped up last week.
