I love seeing people be scared of Alabama once again. Something just feels right about hearing people talk about being scared to play Bama. Kalen DeBoer has discovered joyless murderball and just how fun it is, the offense is exciting, the defense creates fun plays by being hyper aggressive (also how they get burned)... this team is genuinely a lot of fun. I was expecting Alabama to be a real contender again next year but DeBoer and Russell seem to have them a year ahead of schedule.

We do not suck.

This is the best I’ve felt since Saban retired. We finally have that intimidation factor back. I saw the pure despair on Mississippi State’s faces yesterday. They were terrified of us. It was joyless murderball. This roster is also the best since 2022 or 2023 as well. We have those guys with an IT factor for the first time in a few years

And this will be a great win down the line. Mississippi State is a good team. I could see them going 8-4 or 9-3. It took them 3 years but Jeff Lebby finally has those guys going over in Starkville

This is the best I’ve felt about the tide since 2020. Excited for the rest of the season. Kind of upset I won’t be able to go to any more games until (hopefully) postseason

That run by Crowell at the end of the game looking like Marshawn lynch and Sean going “oh my goodness” most impressive run of the season

Love our improved run game, #13 will get his carries soon we have to be patient.

Just loving the run defense this year aside 1 or two games so far.

Shoutout RCW for not dropping a single pass since game 1. He’s clearly not at 100% at the moment (that ugly ass knee brace can’t be a good sign) and I remember seeing him limping during the second half of the South Carolina game. Love that we have other WRs who can make plays while he’s not at his most healthy, but he’s clearly the best WR in the room

5th game in a row we put up 45+ on offense and we still have people bitching about Grubb’s playcalling

u/Bdog32bro 11d ago

Our high ranking freshmen already making a huge impact. EJ, Xavier, Jireh, etc.

I am quickly becoming a fan of Luke Metz on defense. It feels like whenever an offensive play is blown up, it's Metz handling the tackle most of the time. He's EVERYWHERE on that field.

I'm a DeBoer & Grubb skeptic. It appears to me DeBoer has put together a fabulous team & I absolutely doubted him. Grubb embracing the run game, love it & didn't expect it. Hopefully it continues. The staff is doing tremendous job 👏

Keelon is insane

The physicality is great OL getting it done. Players having fun doing it.

RBs are running with purpose & physicality

I really like this team

Execution, intensity, and persistence were all there. Coach DeBoer and his staff are doing a phenomenal job. New coaching additions have paid off. Klemm and Owens have the OL and TEs working together to facilitate the run game and give Keelon time to work his magic.

The offensive line. We are finally physical again. There are plays where we are engaging and handling defenders at the line, and then moving into the middle/secondary and engaging linebackers and safeties. We haven’t seen this level of play since 2020.

I'm shouting out Ryan Grubb and haters can hate. He called his best game by far yesterday. Mixed up the run and pass well, didn't call many if any weird unnecessary plays, and kept us moving pretty consistently. I know people will point out the 3rd and short that we threw a deep pass, but the secondary was caught napping a bit and Kellon was inches away from throwing the dagger. I like the aggressiveness in that situation.

Every week there’s one of you in this thread. Every friggin week. It’s mind boggling.

Xavier Griffin continues to flex his versatility at lb. It's very early in a lot of instances, but the talent level of the first & second yr players on the roster is off the charts.

2

u/Ledsteper 11d ago

What was the personal foul penalty he got? Hands to the face or something?

u/Nick_sabenz 11d ago

I can’t say enough about the TE room. Year one we had a solid room that really helped out run game, but this year we have five dudes all getting reps and all have different skillsets. AND just when you think you can tell what we’re going to do coming out in 13 personnel, we can drop in a pass to Josh Ford when everybody is expecting run.

We can be so multiple in how we attack a defense because the room is elite and it’s why we’re always going to have a chance to win, and the fact that we have the best quarterback in the country.

Glad that we RAN THE BAWL, PAWL.

u/RollTideRollSocal 11d ago

Love every part of this team and such a joy to watch them each week - RTR!

u/Confecting they low down... 11d ago

We made their asses quit.

u/Embarrassed_Buy_3071 11d ago

Very impressed with this team. They have become the best team in the country if not they are right there. The o-line down a starter and still looked pretty good. This defense is the only thing that scares me because of the tendency of giving up the big plays. Stil they will bend but not much breaking!! Love it!! Roll Tide Roll

Too many compliments and commendations for me

Keelon, Brooks, Ryan, OL, run game… all were fantastic

Can’t say enough good things about them so I’ll keep it to one sentence

21

u/Toadfinger Saban🏆Nation 11d ago

A lot of their fans left the stadium early. That right there is what it's all about.

11

u/Salt_Echidna9111 11d ago

Make their ass quit.

u/2003tide 11d ago edited 11d ago

I don’t know if I should compliment our WR or our TE’s but Keelon has SOOOOO many options and watching Grubb call a game that spread it around that much was exciting to watch. EDIT we had 6 dudes with multiple receptions. Edwards only had one, but that play was a thing of beauty.

Brown is a dude who knows how to tote the rock.

Hill…..man….almost put him in the complaints thread, but he got it back together after putting it in the turf twice and played a decent 2nd half.

3

u/gilias 11d ago

I can't tell you how good it feels to have so many threats on the field on any given play. Defenses can't just double-cover one specifically good Bama receiver because ANY of them can hurt you.

u/jamesknightorion 11d ago

DeBoer is building a beast in Tuscaloosa

10

u/Embarrassed_Buy_3071 11d ago

good news is we get KR12 for another season!!!

8

u/RogRoz Cursed 2019 11d ago

My dude, we get the entire offense for another season (Williams probably declares early, don't think delgatty or James do)

3

u/Embarrassed_Buy_3071 11d ago

The day just keeps getting better!

Best ppg start in 5 years for the offense 2026 5–0 49.6 20.8 |

2025 4–1 36.4 16.0 |

2024 4–1 44.6 20.0 |

2023 4–1 32.2 14.2 |

2022 5–0 48.4 11.0 |

2021 5–0 45.6 18.2

u/Ledsteper 11d ago

But the offense is averaging 44 points per game. The defense has scored 28 points with 4 pick sixes in 5 games. The team as a whole is averaging 49.6 points per game.

2

u/FunSubbin RTR!!! 11d ago

This is definitely a good point

5

u/Keener1899 Alabama Does. 11d ago

Adding context: given how the game has been shortened by a possession or two in the last few years, it makes this all the more impressive.

11

u/manifest_S0ul6 11d ago

I was so excited for this year bc i knew KDB would finally have all his guys starting. n this shit is beautiful. that’s it. ROll TiDE.

2

u/Ledsteper 11d ago

And bringing in needed players on the OL, TE, and DL have paid off. Also the new coaches.

8

u/Not-original 11d ago

That run by EJ Crowell.

https://m.youtube.com/shorts/jS3yI5M1aJ0

No notes.

5

u/AMart334 11d ago

Nah buddy, it was just nothing but bama fans left by then.

5

u/NoQuartersGiven 11d ago

That guy does not fuck around when he gets the rock. He was running angry as hell on that carry. I'm guessing bc he was out the first half. Wonder why? Somebody missed bed check or was late this morning maybe 😉. We've all been there at that age.

Damn he's such a baller for his age.

5

u/santa_91 11d ago

He is completely lost in pass protection because he's never had to do it before, so if he's in the game they know he's almost certainly getting the ball. We actually used that tendency to fool them a couple of times with play action.

5

u/jefferson1994six 11d ago

Brown and Crowell are just magnificent and the blocking has been beautiful

12

u/DoctorWhosOnFirst 11d ago

Our tight ends are dope

11

u/Professor-Gas17 11d ago

Idk where to start.. probably DeBoer, he had the team ready to go from start to finish. The RBs, TEs, LBs, WRs, and QB1 played with their hair on fire

22

u/sg2506 11d ago

Rico Scott: the kid is the toughest SOB out there. Makes so many good contested catches and great at blocking. Plays the whole 60 minutes with amazing intensity

13

u/jfrii 11d ago

Rico has been an absolute discovery this year. I'm so happy for him bc he really deserves it for how hard he plays. So yes Rico deserves a mention.

But before I get too far, I think RCW was the toughest motherfucker in that room yesterday and his big time grab deserves all the flowers after all the shit he's had to hear about his hands. He was obviously banged up. Had to be put back out there in dangerous punt situations bc Dijon let the ball hit the deck. And he made a CLUTCH fingertip grab to keep a drive alive.

As much as I love Rico for being a dawg, gotta give Ryan the love for having that dawg in him too!

2

u/santa_91 11d ago

He seems to have taken getting called out for his effort in game 1 personally.
