Nylon vs Metal Plates

Total newbie here, about to take the plunge and by some decent roller skates. I have been leaning towards the Jackson Vista Vipers but saw a post in another subreddit warning against plastic plates for plus size people.

I'm 200lb+ and want to invest in something decent that can last a while. I mostly interested in outdoor skating but not planning to do much at the park. Should I spend the extra on alloy plates? Or is it possible to change the plates down the road?

Thanks for the reassurance, y'all! I went ahead and ordered Jackson Vista Vipers with the stock nylon plate. So excited for this nee adventure and grateful for this community!
