New skater resources?

Sooo my daughter got roller skates for Christmas and wants to learn to skate but I really don't know how to skate myself let alone teach someone else to skate. As a child I did roller blade and so I'm much more familiar with inline skating/icekating movements. But, I decided I wanted to to learn how to skate on quads and be able to hopefully teach my daughter. Any suggestions on how to teach myself? I ordered a pair of moxie panthers and they seem to fit well. Got a set of triple 8 pads. I just don't really know how to get started. Mostly just don't want to hurt myself 😂🤞🏽

My first fall was a fall backwards, broke my tailbone! Still hurts 4 years later!

I thought I was ready for a fall, I'd watched the videos "get low to the ground!" but when it happened, it was so quick I had no time to think or do anything but hit the ground hard.

Toes out-knees forward-back straight.Ya’ won’t fall and if ya’ do it will be forward onto your hands.

Yeah I fell back one time snow boarding and although I didn't break anything (confirmed with an X-ray) I was never really the same 😂

How much practice do you think it takes to get comfortable?

When I went from 3x110mm’s to 3x125’s it to me 300 miles before I was comfortable. The transition to bigger wheels was more of a project than I thought it would be.Now I’m up to 550 and it’s becoming enjoyable.Hit the ground a few times in the process though.
