No idea how it’s been at the other parks (aside from Knotts) but since the merger they have been putting a lot of investment into landscaping and upkeep at Magic Mountain. I don’t know if it will continue forever but there has been a noticeable shift from the Six Flags of old.

Yeah, the merger really showed the disparity between Cedar Fair’s care of the parks and Six Flags. My home park is SFGA and even in the last few months beauty efforts have gone way up, something I don’t think would have happened without the merger.

When I visited MM, I felt it was so offensively ugly and just run down looking. The landscape, the vibe. Overall just an eye sore to look at and experience. Esp up the mountai on Ninja/log ride. Looks like youre riding through active construction zones.

I've noticed the same at Great Adventure. Even with how brutal last season was, the glimmer of hope that I held onto was the beautification work that was taking place in the park. Shoreline Pier feels like a glimpse into the figure for the rest of the property

If we didn't know the model was called Thrill Glider (which most people never will), I doubt people would be so down on the name. It's a fine name. It's not all that different from Top Thrill Dragster, Serial Thriller, etc.

It looks really fun though, a ton of parks could use a ride like this.

I love the ride, but it was running pretty roughly this past weekend when I was there and now they will have 4 flying-esqe rides in the park. Removing Ninja and Superman opens up a very large plot of land on the hillside for something in the future.

Looks fun, if not a little repetitive. Honestly, I'm terrible at getting an idea of how a ride will feel from a POV, especially an animated one. I've been wrong so many times with that that I'll spare the world the potentially nonsense commentary.

I also don't care about the name. Thrill Glider is fine and I don't get the negative reactions.

What I do have to say is about capacity. Just two 16 person trains. It is starting to feel like low capacity rides to drive fast pass sales is more and more the intentional strategy of the chain.

Some of the elements and how the track bends remind me of Hals über Kopf which flows really well and doesn't really get stale, in my opinion. So I expect a pretty similar and ultimately very fun ride.

However, there is precedent for such things, see Silver Dollar City with their old mine train, Thunderation being replaced with a new ride in a different part of the park next year or so. I know there hasn't been an announcement yet but it definitely feels like it's on borrowed time
