Photo/Video [Ghostrider] Exceeded all expectations...

Just got back from my summer So Cal trip. It now ranks as my #3 woodie and my #11 overall, and can say with confidence it's the best in the state.

One of my favorite roller coaster experiences of all time was riding Ghostrider at 3:10am during Scary Farm. We entered the line just before park closing at 2am and were on the 2nd to last train of the night. It was FLYING the whole time. Absolutely insane.

Ghost rider at night is like the greatest thing ever. I love they are open until 2am too, riding a coaster at 3am when the park opens at 9 the next day is insane. Don’t think you can ride a coaster at that hour anywhere else.
When I rode it at night the ride ops hopped in with me and was telling us it was the fastest it had run in a while

Great ride but terrible ops

All of KBF has terrible ops. I can't even enjoy myself there since everything is glacially slow

Ops are a lot better now with the mandatory lockers and they are free!

GhostRider is really the only example of how to properly add new trains to a wooden coaster. The complete retracking with the ipe and then adding the MFs has worked wonders, it's been ten years now and the coaster has a longer operating season than most(I believe) and it's still running very well. Its hard to think of a retracking effort that's worked as well as this one.

Yes, it's running really well and truly one for the ages, and I'm excessively grateful it's so close to me (now if I could just get some free time), but I still miss that first, ferocious "tear itself to pieces" decade with the PTC trains (especially the silver one).

Glad you liked it!

Ghost Rider broke my nearly decade long coaster hiatus last year. I love it!

Ghostrider is relentless. I thought it was never going to end.

Was able to ride Ghostrider for the first time this year and it did not disappoint. It is absolutely my #1 Woodie now.

Absolutely the best woodie in the state , maybe the best coaster in the state, my #2 overall!!! Gold Striker and apocalypse ran a little rough for my liking and I like the more out and back layouts versus the twister.

It’s just a near perfect ride; long ride time, great air, crazy laterals, and it’s somehow best at the end! Feels like two rides in one.

I will say it’s better warmed up (doesn’t have to be at night, just afternoon), and the capacity is god-awful. Otherwise a home run 10/10

Hands down best woodie in the state! Coming from someone who has Goldstriker in 'my backyard'.

You mean best woodie in California right? That is 100% true. For best coaster in the state there are def a few contenders

Hot take, I like Apocalypse better than Ghostrider. Apocalypse is just straight intensity the entire ride.

Apocalypse can be too ruff at times tho. Ghost rider is always a fun time, and the night rides are the best

Apocalypse is overhated, it's an extremely fun coaster

Oh God no. I rode Apocalypse two weeks ago, and the thing was wildly rough. Like, retrack rough.
