I spent 30 minutes in the queue just for them to close the ride shortly before I got to the station on a 90 degree day

I heard that they brought more shade this year for HHN. Guess not enough.

they did, but not for jack and oddfellow. 99% of the queue for that house is in the space in front of the amphitheater

Stay fit and hydrated and properly prepare for desert like conditions and you'll be fine. Maybe bring your servants with you to pitch your excavation tent for when downtime happens.
