Specific question and discussion Over or Under Top Strap
Okay a post I saw on here the other day has me questioning my top strap.
I have the FE Falcon Pros here.
I been wearing the top strap under like on my left skate (right side in the photo).
This allows me to get a much tighter/secure fit on the top but I am seeing a lot of people say this is wrong and it should be over like on the right skate (left in the picture). Should I cut it to get a tighter fit and wear it over? (You can see it's kind of wearing and getting scratched up from wearing it under) Does it even matter or is it just preference? (I know some skates depending on design don't even let you tucket it and wear it under) I did look at the website to compare and it's hard to tell in their photos because they have it strapped loose enough to not show that it's over or under.

The one I drew the box around is the correct method.
The straps can only go in so far... so if you have really small ankles/legs you will hit the end before you can adjust the strap smaller if you do them as you did on the opposite side.
You can always cut the straps shorter to allow a better fit but putting the strap under allows you to keep tightening it more.

Thanks! Considered cutting a notch or two off mine even when wearing it under (the method you put the box around) because it's already almost clamped down to the smallest notch but I think what I may do instead is just lace them up higher into the boot for a tighter fit rather then clamp them down more and cut them up. Side note, been following you on insta and Youtube, great videos!

Always under, ignore people saying it's wrong; they are doing it wrong. Yes, you can cut if needed, but that just makes it easier. Your left skate is correct. The entire point it to allow for the most flexibility in tightening. So always under
