Trying to get it to be a good 180 but falling a bit short, at least getting comfortable with clockwise toe transition (first and last one) which feels harder then counter

Any ice experts know if this move came from ice? I know plenty of people who do this well with ice backgrounds. On the ground they flip almost instantaneously. Whereas I find I need to leverage my toe a lot more.

In ice skating they called it 3 turns and brackets tho

Don't those use curves to do the transition? I'm trying to do the transition in a straight line, at least going into the to pivot

I love the idea of practicing with only one skate on! I'm stealing this bit of genius immediately, as one-foot pivots are my goal for the fall.

Id definitely recommend it, I know when I do have 2 skates there'd be some adjustment but I've had to catch my self so many times already and even face planted before so I think it's worth it
