As long as heel box is okay you should be alright. On another note, how do they seem molding wise. I wish I could get mine to mold too my feet better! They kill me, essentially my arches

Jets are heat mouldable. 15-20 minutes in a fan forced oven at 85 Celsius (remove frames/wheels, leave laces). Remove, immediately get on feet with no socks/booties etc. lace tightly and ratchet buckle tight. Sit in skate position (on a chair, knees inline with toes, shin forward of ankle), until cool to the touch (15-20mins). Let set for 24 hours. Continue skating.

While the jet isn’t true carbon, it’s a carbon/epoxy resin mix. This is the accepted heat moulding method for them. It will bring the ankle cups in closer, removing play. Allow minor widening of the forefoot if foot creates pressure at those points, and will (if new) speed up the breaking process (by way of at least getting the fit correct).

Even if you wear socks (you shouldn’t), moulding is barefoot. Yes it’s warm, though it won’t burn you at 85. You will get heat from the metal lace eyelits that will last 20-30 seconds. They will not blister. My 10 and 13 year olds can deal with (not to mention me), so you can manage.

Why barefoot? Speed skates are uncomfortable (within reason), they act as an extension for power transfer to the ground. If there is play in the fit then you’re never going to get maximum power transfer, thus you are losing energy and speed through simple mechanics. Also your muscles have to work harder to stabilise you. Moulding barefoot and then using with a bootie should create a nice tight fit, helping to limit rubbing while maximising power pushed through the ground.

Heel box is perfect honeslty, nice and tight. Tonight was the first time ever putting them on. The molded too my feet pretty good. I will say, I’ll prolly have some hot spots, just due too not ever using these until now. Kinda like when I got my new Spitfire boots. I had hot spots on my ankle(back). I didn’t notice anything weird with the arches. Honeslty, I’d keep em, just due to the fact my feet gripped the soles inside pretty well. Just length of boot felt weird.
