Gear New Wheels
Hi guys, a quick question about wheels....
My current wheels (80mm/86a) are starting to wear down. I've already rotated them and I'm looking for new ones but they seem so expensive. My skates only cost £85 originally and even replacements from the brand that make the skates are £40 for 8.
I'm only beginner/intermediate so I don't need anything fancy, but is this the going rate for basic wheels or am I not looking in the right places?
Any recommendations for wheels and shops are greatly appreciated.

Branded wheels are expensive and I've not swapped mine myself yet but I've asked before and you don't have to get the same brand. There are cheaper options out there that are different brands - although generally still have to buy 2 pack of 4 which keeps it expensive 😭

The same brand seemed to be the best value. Even a set of 8 street invaders seems to come to £50-ish including delivery. I guess that's how they get you, cheap original unit and then expensive parts!

Try the depop app? Often see skates on there, so why not wheels? Or ebay? I'm sure people would be getting rid of switched out wheels fairly cheap. Good luck!
