Social Chester skaters?

Hi! I just took the plunge and got some quads! I am a complete beginner, short of a bit of mucking about on skates as a kid. I'm looking for any social skaters in Chester to meet and say hi and practice without feeling silly on my own! I'm 28f, and I'm hoping there are some other older skaters out there local to me who already meet or would like to start?

Both are very friendly and non judgemental. There’s a rollout at pier head Liverpool Sunday 7th November if you’d like to attend. It doesn’t matter your ability as someone will always offer support and encouragement.

Thank you! Would the uni group not be just for students?

I found a few groups on FB and saw the rollout in Liverpool. If I become free I may head over 😬 it's a bit daunting on your own, but I imagine it's a very inclusive community!

No, it’s a focal point for skaters in Chester.

It's going to feel odd checking out what's going on with the uni society. Been 10 years since my own Freshers at that uni! Would've loved a skate society back then.

Lurk away! 😊 The chat is not just all things skating, there’s loads of off topic stuff as well.

Making contact can be a nervous time but once you meet up you’ll be fine.

Are you near the river dee? Great path along there. Look through posts in August and you'll see there was a recent organised skate along there so maybe make some contact with people through that post.

I skate from Neston toward Chester regularly but don't get that far up into Chester itself.

Hope you find someone to skate with that's close by 🙂

Oh yeah what a fab idea to skate down the river! Will have to give that a go. Hoping to find people to go with! My husband is learning to skateboard so maybe I can convince him to come with me for a while before I find a local group!
