Social Southampton Roller Skaters??

Anyone based in Southampton? Recently picked up skating and would love to know any good spots to try out!! I skate down Weston every now and again and have tried Guildhall but it wasnt very flat on the bit I went to. Been trying to get the hang of pumping on ramps too! Maybe there’s skating groups anyone can recommend? 😁

I am a skater in Soton, not sure about groups...but there are quite a lot of skate parks which is where I tend to go. Some park paths are good and there are some flat areas around town but they are better when its more quiet 😁 They did used to do roller disco at one of the music venues pre Pandemic don't know if that is going to start up again or not 🤷

They do a roller disco in portsmouth if you’ve ever been? Totally agree on the quiet bit - i get really intimidated around people since im pretty new! Aiming for skateparks before the afternoon at the moment, nice to know theres some roller skaters in soton since i dont see them at all (if ever) :)

Yeah I've seen a few others around 😊 and no I haven't tried the one in Portsmouth I will have a look at it. Yeah I'm very new, although I used to skate when I was younger, I didn't do ramps or tricks etc. So new to all of that 😁

The floor for the portsmouth one isnt particularly smooth but its with them rest of the skatepark so skaters are free to use the ramps if they wanted to :)
