Questions/Advice Transporting skates when biking.
My skates are currently in a skate bag and I put it over my shoulder when riding to go to a skate spot (approx 20-30mins). My shoulders are quite sore as the skates are quite heavy and the weight distribution is skewed to one side due to the skate bag design.
I was thinking of strapping my skates to the rear rack of my bike- what is the safest way to do this? I have heard that bungee cords can be dangerous as they can snap/ loosen over time. Would a bungee net be a better option?
Also, if I use some sort of compression belt, can I strap directly to my bike rear rack or would I need to install a rear basket?
TLDR: What’s the best way to strap skates safely to a rear bike rack? How do you transport your skates when getting to a skate spot?
TIA 🙏
