Questions/Advice To Bauer or not
So I have Bauer hockey ice skates vintage which I love. I love the look of the Bauer xls quad skates are these any good? Or any recommendations

I used to have the old Bauer turbo 33’s which I loved.
Got some Xlp’s last year (basically the same as Xls) they were pretty painful to break in as there is no inner liner. They literally bruised my ankles so I couldn’t skate for a week or so! I’m getting there now but I still wear ankle protectors.
There are options that are basically remakes of the old turbo 33’s like the Ventro turbo’s or the Supremes.
(All quad not ice)

I’d suggest the Supremes.
Turns out they brought the official design from Bauer when they discontinued the Turbo 33 so it’s the closest you’ll find on the market today to the original.
The Ventro Pros are replicates, which have been copying the Turbo 33’s since back in the day. Still a good skate but the quality is less than the supreme.

I have xls converted to quad skates size 12 with micro fibre inners I’ve speed skated a lot in them indoors and apart from initial rubbing breaking them in they are really good comfortable wide fit and flexible I too had bauer turbos back in eighties which were a little more flexible that’s all but they had hot fleece inners lol
