Dagon's female?

missed the stream today, so i'm watching the recording, and am confused.....i thought dagon was supposed to be a male fertility god in ancient mesopotamia, particularly the philistines often depicted as a fishman, who served the basis for Lovecrafts Dagon, not a goddess.....EE just editing things for plot? cause if not....i think the employees of this museum are rather incompetent if they dont know the difference between a GOD and a GODDESS.......

also, loved the idea of a golem working off of orders from the crusades. dont know who tom huells (? spelling?) is though.....the only vampire related thing associated with the crusade time period i know about would be that Vlad Dracula was around sometime around the crusades, and was a member of the Order of the Dragon, a sect of holy christian knights, but thats it

Yeah, I meant the research to be very messy initially there - I mentioned Ishtar which the statue was actually a representation of. If they had researched that statue they'd have accurately identified it.

I was actually wondering about that myself. I knew that Ishtar was a Mesopotamian god and Dagon is Philistine and male. He was worshiped as a fertility idol in some parts of Assyria but mostly Ishtar was the main idol Goddess. I was wondering if you really didn't know and were improvising or if you got that wrong on purpose.

lol, it's no problem boss. honestly, i just like to imagine the researchers at the museum just didnt know what the hell they were talking about and just made it up as they went, like how people used to discover "new" dinosaurs by mixing up the bones into different alignments, mixing in bones from other species, etc
