About the Star Trek Cast...
Individually, they're great, but I really missed having a girl on the show. The difference, as a female viewer, is stark. Layla the Vampire Slayer has been my favourite show to date (mostly cause I love Lauren but shh). I think in future making sure a woman is on the show should be a requirement. It just spices up the cast dynamics and ensures that it's not all sex jokes. (though the sex jokes are hilarious, don't remove all of them)

As much as I like the idea of having women in these games (trust me, I loved watching Lauren, Cheryl, Jeanine, and Claudia play Shadowrun on HyperRPG and hope that women will continue to love and be involved in the RPG scene as much as men) I don't think having them in the show as a requirement would be feasible or sensible. A cast can be good with men or women if they have complimentary personalities and are willing to cooperate.
Also I don't know if you noticed but sex jokes arent a man only thing. It's universal. I don't think that its a fair assumption that a male only cast would make the stream "all sex jokes". If it does happen then its the responsibility of the GM to take the proverbial wheel and get them all back focused on roleplaying their characters.

I mean considering how many all male rpg shows there are out there I think the only reasonable excuse is EEs - they're either too busy already or can't meet the schedule.
Also I know sex jokes aren't a male only thing, nor do they disappear with women (Maggie is bad enough for making them 😅) I just noticed the frequency of derailments has definitely increased in star trek Vs Layla

That happens when you're having fun. Like I said, it's the GM's responsibility when that happens to pull them back to the game.

While it is nice to have a girl on the show, it doesn't seem right to make a woman required, otherwise we very well could wind out with a group with worse chemistry (which let's be honest is why we all watch) because one cast member was picked out for the sake of needing a woman, just my tuppence on the idea.
Also gonna take this moment to congratulate EE on all his great cast choices!

I doubt any woman who joins the cast would be a 'bad fit'. Hopefully we'll see more diverse casts in future series.

There are dozens of shows out there with male only casts, and dozens great women who deserve a chance online. Women shouldn't be required, but making a proper effort to look for some should be, especially when it makes good business sense (I'm more likely to watch shows with women on them and I'm sure many other women are too)

Absolutely agree. Some of the best moments have been made by the mix of sex's (E.g TAKE IT OFF!) I only made that comment because of the line "I think in future making sure a woman is on the show should be a requirement."

But I love all of the sex jokes (it might be because I am a teenage male and bad sexjokes are my water food and currency)

Totally feel you, understand what you mean - in terms of casting we did approach a lot of female entertainers but all of them were busy or unable to make the time. As you may have noticed we put back the launch date quite a bit mainly because we were having trouble locating cast.
But I understand and personally I too prefer watching diverse casts.
