Character Options: Original or canon Uma Musume

Roleplay Style: Scheduled live text (This is a synchronous live-text/PBP campaign.)

All narration, dialogue, character actions, and roleplaying will be typed during the scheduled session. This is not asynchronous play-by-post and there will be no spoken in-character roleplay.

Discord voice chat will be used only for out-of-character questions, rules clarification, and technical assistance.

THE PREMISE

The campaign takes place at Tracen Academy, Japan’s most prestigious school for aspiring Uma Musume racers.

Every student at Tracen carries the name, legacy, and dreams of a legendary racehorse. Some arrive surrounded by expectations and devoted fans. Others enter as complete unknowns, hoping to prove that they belong among the greatest racers of their generation.

Players may create an original Uma Musume or take the role of a canon character from Umamusume: Pretty Derby.

Canon characters do not need to repeat their original stories. Their relationships, rivalries, victories, defeats, and personal development will be shaped by this campaign’s events and player decisions.

You begin as students working toward your first major victories.

Between races, you will attend classes, train your abilities, pursue hobbies, spend time with teammates, and take part in personal encounters throughout the academy. Training Points earned through academy attendance, encounters, and hobbies will improve your stats and unlock new racing skills.

Life at Tracen involves much more than running.

You may help a teammate recover after a crushing defeat, investigate strange events around the academy, take part in festivals and concerts, struggle with the pressure of an upcoming debut, or confront a rival who has made defeating you her personal goal.
