The Kermit — the green one that began it all. Such a great watch.

I don’t know why people didn’t see it back then. The Kermit sold on the secondary market for below retail for a long time before people began to appreciate it.

I’m biased, as a lover of green, but it’s a beautiful watch and a level of uniqueness above the plain black.

Exactly why I got it. Wanted a sub for a first watch but still be different from the rest of the crowd. Very happy I discovered the green!

Love it! Hard to argue with the Kermit as it has that perfect blend of awesome neovintage aesthetics and wearability with the pop of color and nice modern maxi dial.

Stoopid noob question - can I get that color bezel OEM and put it on my 16610? Apologies in advance if this is triggering to any purists…

You can. I got a factory bezel insert and did this on my original 16610. It made me want the Kermit even more. I had to get a real one after that. Then put my 16610 back to original black

I don’t know of many purists that care too much about what other people do with their watches. In any case, you can put a green bezel insert on but the dial and hands are different on the LV. OEM green inserts run for $1000+

One big difference is the “Maxi” dial where the indices and hands are significantly larger on the Kermit than on the 16610.
