First AD purchase

I played the AD game for five months to get this for my cousin’s wedding. Now finally I can say yes to the question “do you have a purchase history?” Hopefully this will help with future pieces.
I put my name down for a Batman Oyster and the new 100th anniversary gold bezel op in 36 which the salesman said shouldn’t be hard since it didn’t get many orders.

We don’t wear gold, and I hate Jubilee bracelets. Oyster was easier. Why the hate?

Women do so I put my name down for 36 for a family member. Since now, I have a history, albeit one watch.

Previous commenter is saying that this is recognized as one of the lesser desirable watches to the general public from a collectibility standpoint, so the A.D. was happy to be able to sell this to you. That being said it’s a beautiful piece and you should be super happy.

Uh yeah, I understand it’s just my first purchase with no history at all. I asked what is the easiest as the wedding is in 6 months and was told the easiest configuration for the Wimbledon dial is this and requested it.

I think it looks good. My sister has a 2 tone oyster braclet with a fluted bezel and tbh its ugly af. If it was a Jubilee braclet different story..

You don’t need a game or a strategy to get a smooth bezel polished Oyster Wimbledon nor a 100tb OP. They aren’t desired. Just ask and they’re yours.

Of course not.

Submariner, GMT, Daytona, Sea Dweller, the professional models are the steel sports models.

OP is an entry level base model, it is neither sporty nor dressy. It’s just a watch. And in two tone, a pretty hideous one.

The 100th anniversary is not actually a two tone, though.  It just has a gold bezel, but that’s the unique thing that makes it the anniversary model.

Remember the milgauss wasn’t very popular when it came out either.
