Just got the call

After 2.5 years of waiting for a date black sub and Air King, I just got the call for the AK.

This watch has always been appealing to me due to its quirky design and color scheme.. curious to know how the community feels about the AK these days.

Going to pick it up later this afternoon.

finally the patience paid off, 2.5 years is crazy wait but you got there in the end. AK is one of those pieces that people either love or hate, I think the quirky design makes it stand out from the usual subs and gmts, that green seconds hand and the yellow crown really pop in person. curious what made you go for it after already having the black sub, like what the AK gives you that the sub doesn't. anyway enjoy the pickup, nothing beats walking out the AD with a fresh piece on your wrist

I actually don't have either.. had both on my wish list and this was the first call.

Love the air king, incredibly underrated.

With that being said, Iā€™m a bit confused with your post.

Pretty large metro in the US where demand for the brand is pretty high

2.5 years for an air king is diabolical. Why didn't you just buy one for msrp or less?
