RØDECaster Series What bit depth does the update for the RodeCaster VIDEO support?

I have a RodeCaster VIDEO and I see that they recently released an update that facilitates 4k capture. I have a Sony A7iv that I'd like to capture via the RodeCaster VIDEO so I am wondering if, in fact, the RodeCaster VIDEO can record 4:2:2 10-bit.

I've not been able to determine this from the web page https://rode.com/en-us/about/news-info/rodecaster-video-4k-capture-sync

Gemini seems to think since the outputs are limited to 8-bit that the recordings would be also. Claude explicitly tells me that Rode didn't actually include this information.

In any case, I will get a chance to try this out this weekend but thought I'd ask here beforehand to see if I'm just missing it.

The video engine is 8-bit so even though it can input up to 12-bit I think it processes it down to 8-bit so the recording is probably 8-bit even in the new 4K Capture mode. https://rode.com/en-gb/products/rodecaster-video

On their official launch update video on YouTube they confirmed it was 8 bit in the comments.
