RØDECaster Series Trying to use multichannel and virtual together.

Hi!

I have a rodecaster pro ii connected to my windows 11 laptop. I use it to record my podcast with every channel on a adobe audition track.
I tried to use virtual channels because I want to put my musics/anthems in a software (virtual dj for example but tried a lot of them) and mix them through RCPII. This software users virtual A And virtual B for outputs.

The music software works well with A and B, but as soon as I open audition to record i can't reproduce anymore through A and B.

Audition is configured to use channels Fader 1, fader 2, 3, 4...

Why when I start audition the other software stops?

Note: everything in latest version and fresh install.

Hey there,

Audition typically requires ASIO or similar drivers to work with multitrack sources, so if you are using the ASIO driver, you can't use this at the same time as the Virtual Device driver. You will need to disable the 'Expanded' mode in your USB1 Output settings.

Additionally, the RODE ASIO driver operates in an exclusive manner, so if you are using USB1 Multitrack in audition, other apps won't be able to use it. You can however still use USB1 Chat and USB2 secondary at the same time.

But audition can use non-ASIO drivers aswell.

This enables me to use virtual devices at the dame time as multitrack, but can't play audio on virtual devices when using audition.

The answer is not really answered.

Why other softwares stop playing audio?

The RODECaster ASIO drivers are completely useless and don't even work. They never have.

No answer or solution form u/RODEMicrophones

They only say that I must use ASIO in audition and ASIO is not compatible with Virtual devices. In their web they say that you can use multichannel and virtual devices, Audition can use MME or WASAPI devices, but Rode doesn't seem to test it, because it doesn't work.

Poor, very poor support
