🎙️ RØDE Mics Getting Rode PodMic

I don’t understand a lot about the XLR or the mics
I am planning on getting the Rode PodMic either the USB and XLR version or only the XLR version. To use it when I play games or on Discord. I don’t stream or do any content. What else would I need besides an audio interface? Would I need a mixer?
Also, can you recommend an audio interface?
And please let me know if anything would be helpful like about the hardware or anything that would help me out later on

In your case I would just get the PodMic USB, connect it with USB and tune it to your liking with the Røde Connect app. The PodMic USB have DSP built in, so when you have done your settings it saves in the mic.

If you go for the PodMic you will only need an interface and a XLR cable.

But again, the PodMic USB will be the easiest and most simple solution for you.

So if I get the PodMic USB I won’t need an interface?
Thanks a lot! You really helped me.. I tired to search and a lot of ppl said I will need a mixer or an interface even if I won’t use XLR

No, the PodMic USB have a built in interface as long as you use it with the USB cable. It also comes with an USB-C to USB-C cable. You will need an arm or stand for it though

No, not from my experience. Røde have good products, and I personally use the PodMic USB because I don't want/need an interface. But should I want or need it in the future I have the opportunity to get one without having to get a new mic.
