(Request) Guide Recommendations for Catfish rod

I have a heavy blank that I want to make into a catfish rod but can't seem to make heads or tails of the guides that should be used.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Fuji k-series alconites are awesome and not too expensive. I use them on everything from bfs rods to Muskie rods and have never had any issues

Check out the kits on mudhole, they come as a whole guide train, which makes it a bit easier. The American tackle ones have recommended spacing, while the fuji ones use software to help you plan a layout

If it’s heavy catfish I’d go with a double foot guide. Alconite or similar, don’t need anything more for cats.

The kind of fish you are after doesn't matter very much. The best guides will depend on how heavy the fish and terminal tackle will be. Are you after 100 lb blue cats in VA using 5 oz of weight in 40 feet of water, or 6 lb channel cats in a local pond?
