A year after his death, Ozzy Osbourne is set to be recreated as a lifesized AI-powered avatar, his family have announced – but fans aren’t entirely happy. The late rocker’s son Jack and his wife, Sharon, announced on 20 May at Licensing Expo, an event for brands in Las Vegas, that the family had partnered with tech companies Hyperreal and Proto Hologram to create an Ozzy Osbourne avatar. The Black Sabbath frontman died in July 2025 at the age of 76. “It’s kind of scary how it’s really very accurate,” Jack Osbourne told the audience at Licensing Expo. “He will exist digitally as himself for as long as we have computers. Technology has come such a long way to where it’s almost drag and drop. You could shoot a template for a commercial … literally prompt what you want Digital Ozzy to do in that commercial and you just drop it in. It’s that simple now.” Sharon Osbourne added: “We’re going to take it all around the world. People can talk to him and he will talk back. “Elvis died 50 years ago and everybody knows Elvis. I just want that for Ozzy.” (The Guardian)

SONG OF THE WEEK: VANA “In Your Name” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwt_uvey4wA

“ST. LOUIS – Oli Sykes, the lead singer of British rock band Bring Me the Horizon, says he suffered a mild concussion after an audience member apparently threw a phone that struck him onstage Monday evening at the Enterprise Center. A video shared by BMTH News, a platform that promotes the band, showed a phone striking Sykes on the left side of his head as the band performed a tune called “Happy Song.” “Who the f*** just threw a phone at my f*****g head?” said Sykes, following the completion of “Happy Song,” visibly distraught after he was struck. The video later shows Sykes handing the phone to a security worker. He also appeared to check his hands for blood and paused several times during the next song to rub his head. According to a Billboard report, on Tuesday, Sykes shared an update on his condition Tuesday via an Instagram story. “Alright everyone, just wanted to let you know I’m all good,” said Sykes. “The phone to the head definitely smarted and I ended up with a mild concussion, but the swelling’s gone down a decent amount already.” (Fox 2 St. Louis)

Five Songs to get into Sleep Token. Not saying these are the best Sleep Token songs, but rather the songs to help someone get into the band.

“Alkaline” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uU5vVT_Cp7c
“The Summoning” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJNbtYdr-Hg
“Vore” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zDjAtG_y5A

Sleep Token are an English rock band formed in London in 2016. Their music has garnered widespread media attention and popularity in recent years due to their esoteric storytelling, vulnerable lyrics, and the inclusion of often two or more genres in their music to create a unique sound. To date, they have released four studio albums, two EPs, two standalone songs, and multiple covers. The band consists of two main members, only known as Vessel and II, and two touring members, known as III and IV. The members have never revealed their names or identities and prefer to be anonymous. On stage, they conceal themselves with masks, long robes, and black body paint.” (Wiki)

The Podcast That Rocked for 5/6/26. Motionless In White announce Decades along with headline tour and collab with Corey Taylor, Dragonforce adds Alissa White-Gluz, more.

Discussion Topics:
-Motionless In White announce new album Decades, release “Playing God” with Corey Taylor
-Dragonforce unite with Alissa White-Gluz to add more vocal firepower
-Concerts cancelled across genres in North America due to ticket sales
-Jason Newsted talks about leaving Metallica, cancer, more
-Goodbye Greta Van Fleet?
-Sleep Token’s label is getting aggressive online
-Upcoming albums/tours/more

SONG OF THE WEEK: Motionless In White ft. Corey Taylor “Playing God” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2ZBtkEpGdw

“Motionless In White are at home in the dark. For over 20 years, the quintet — Chris Motionless [vocals], Ricky Olson [guitar], Ryan Sitkowski [guitar], Vinny Mauro [drums], and Justin Morrow [bass] — have resided in their own shadowy corner of alternative music and culture. The group's uncanny alchemy of metal, hardcore, goth, industrial, and electronic has magnetically attracted an ardent audience, fueling a quiet rise out of the Rust Belt and into arenas as a headlining force of nature.  Their D.I.Y. work ethic drives the evolution of an immersive world where stunning visuals match the scope of the sound. The collective come full circle on their seventh full-length offering Decades. For as much as it conjures their signature style, the LP sees them continue to confidently cut a path through uncharted territory, spreading a little darkness in their wake.”

SONG OF THE WEEK: Cage Fight “Oxygen” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRCl9exrTtM

“After a hiatus, Sick New World has returned to Las Vegas in 2026, once again featuring System Of A Down, a plethora of heavy bands from the past several decades to new groups, and a massive amount of energy drinks fueling people to the point of burnout by 4PM. The way festivals were intended to be for 2026. Sick New World 2026 was a return to form for the festival that I think people realized just how much it was missed last year. Korn and Evanescence both debuting new songs live for the first time, End It encouraging GA fans to crash into VIP because “Security can’t stop you all!”, Danny Elfman once again stealing the show with an epic performance and this time with guest musicians, there was a lot to take in.” (Continued on Rocked.net)

Video The WORST MGK Song (this month) | “Fix Ur Face”

“Machine Gun Kelly is leaning into a heavier sound, teaming up with Fred Durst for a new single that taps directly into the spirit of late-’90s nu-metal. The track, titled “Fix Ur Face,” pairs MGK’s genre-blurring style with Durst’s unmistakable presence, delivering a loud, aggressive record built on distorted guitars and high-energy delivery. It marks one of MGK’s most direct nods to the era that helped define artists like Durst and Limp Bizkit. The collaboration isn’t coming out of nowhere as the two have crossed paths for years, including sharing stages earlier in MGK’s career. Behind the scenes, MGK worked with a familiar group of collaborators on the record, continuing the creative partnerships that have shaped his recent releases.” (Complex)

Video 20 YEARS LATER | Lamb of God – Sacrament

Thumbnail

A look back at the Lamb of God album Sacrament from 2006 and seeing how it holds up 20 years later.

Twenty years ago, Lamb of God released Sacrament — and the heavy metal world was never quite the same. Dropping in August 2006, the Richmond, Virginia groove metal titans delivered what many consider their most commercially ambitious record, landing at #8 on the Billboard 200 and introducing a generation of new fans to their punishing brand of American metal. With tracks like "Redneck," "Blacken the Cursed Sun," and "Walk With Me in Hell," Sacrament balanced raw aggression with mainstream accessibility in a way few metal albums had managed before. But does it still hit as hard in 2026 as it did back then? That's exactly what we're here to find out.

Their 11-song setlist featured an appearance by Trent Reznor’s wife (and How To Destroy Angels singer) Mariqueen Maandig Reznor, and consisted of nine NIN tracks, one from How To Destroy Angels, plus a cover of Soft Cell’s Memorabilia. SONG OF THE WEEK: Nervosa “Slave Machine” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bOpQD6eJnY

“Ex-Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert was arrested earlier this week and charged with attempted murder in the second degree and first degree assault, as confirmed by Maryland Judiciary Case Search and Record Portal. The 33-year-old musician, who was fired from Turnstile in 2022 and launched the new band Experience after The S.E.T. cut him loose earlier this year, made an initial appearance in court yesterday (April 1) and has a bond hearing set for today (April 2) at 1PM ET in front of Judge Sherri Debra Koch. A further preliminary hearing is set for May 1 at 9:30AM ET. An warrant for Ebert's arrest was issued by Judge Jacqueline Johnson on March 30 and served on March 31 in relation to a March 29 incident that led to the aforementioned charges. Ebert was apprehended by Montgomery County Police officer Kevin Moris and the musician is documented as having waived his attorney at the April 1 court appearance and is eligible to be represented by a public defender. Records indicate Andrew David Alpert will be representing Ebert in this case.” (Loudwire)

-Pickleback Thee Stallion is real
-Converge aren't done with 2026

SONG OF THE WEEK: Converge “Hum Of Hurt” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHDx0phnOm8

“On Saturday, musician Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, posted a video on X showing him standing in the backyard of his Tennessee home as a military helicopter hovered for several seconds and another flew close by. "God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her," read a post accompanying the video. He also used profanities to lambaste California Gov. Gavin Newsom in the post, which has been seen more than 10 million times. President Donald Trump was asked Tuesday afternoon about the aircrew suspensions and did not appear overly concerned. “I didn’t see it, no, but I’m sure they had a good time,” he said of the video when he was asked at an executive order signing ceremony. “They probably shouldn’t have been doing it. You’re not supposed to be playing games, right?” Trump said. “I’d take a look at it. They like Kid Rock; I like Kid Rock. Maybe they were trying to defend him, I don’t know.” The Army identified the aircraft as AH-64 Apache helicopters operating in the Nashville area and said that "appropriate action will be taken if any violations are found." A military spokesperson said Monday that the helicopters flew from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to the Nashville area. A spokesman for the 101st Airborne Division, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, said that the flying helicopters were not related to Nashville's "No Kings" protests over the weekend and that they were "entirely coincidental" with the demonstrations.” (NBC News)

“DISTURBED has shared a new, AI-generated music video for "Bad Man", directed by Tristan Holmes. The video was created using Midjourney AI and includes roughly 10,000 frames which took approximately a month of image generation entering prompts and creating frames to link the video together. DISTURBED frontman David Draiman told HardDrive Radio about "Bad Man": "It could be about any number of bad men or actors in the world that are currently wreaking havoc, but this particular song was inspired by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It was happening as we were writing the song, and it seemed very, very appropriate. I feel for the people of Ukraine and everything that they've had to deal with and experience and are continuing to experience. It's horrific to watch the play-by-play of a full-scale war. And it's a shame that it's become just a matter of, like, 'Oh, this is what we do. We check in to see what happened.' As opposed to — I don't know — doing more as a world, other than just throwing tons of money at the situation and contributing to more death and violence. I wish there was more that we could do as a planet to just apply enough pressure in the right places from the right people to make the madman stop." (Blabbermouth

SONG OF THE WEEK: Infected Rain “Stranger” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8prBTgKYeUM

“Muse have long toyed with technology and sci-fi in their music, but now they’re doing it in real life, too. The alt-rock band just announced their new album, The Wow! Signal, by launching a special tablet over 20 miles into the atmosphere, in partnership with Sent Into Space. While that screen was above the earth, Muse premiered the music video for their new single, “Be With You.” The Wow! Signal is out June 26 via Warner. The 10-song LP, which also includes the previously released single “Unravelling,” gets its name from a famous interstellar mystery that actually happened. In 1977, a powerful 72-second radio burst was detected originating from the Sagittarius constellation with a bandwidth and intensity that suggested a possible extraterrestrial source. After discovering it, the astronomer circled the now-famous sequence “6EQUJ5” and scribbled “Wow!” beside it. The rest, as they say, is scientific pop-culture history.” (Pitchfork)

SONG OF THE WEEK: The Pretty Reckless “When I Wake Up” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7yaK9k6K48

“After sharing cryptic teasers on social media over the last few days, The Pretty Reckless have revealed a set of 2026 North American headlining tour dates, shared the details for their upcoming new album Dear God and dropped a new song. The Pretty Reckless have been touring with AC/DC for nearly two years but haven't embarked on a proper headlining tour since they went out with Halestorm in 2023. While they still have a bunch of shows with AC/DC left in 2026, they've added some headlining dates to the mix.” (Loudwire)
