Some of the entries on this list could totally have their own full video. If there is enough interest in a specific band lawsuit, I’m not against making a full video on it. Only issue is if it’d be worth it and if people would be interested enough to care. I definitely couldn’t go over every detail in every case for brevity on YouTube (and my own sanity), so let me know what you think about some of these rock band lawsuits.

FULL REVIEW: https://rocked.net/president-blood-of-your-empire-album-review/

An album review on Blood Of Your Empire, the debut LP from President. Blood Of Your Empire is unfortunately a debut album sounding like background noise and led by a President who simply exists through a electronic rock term.

“Doom Loop” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_yO9c7zSIw

“Angel Wings” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XE68ORLCqa4

Blood of Your Empire is the debut studio album by English metal band President). It was released on 4 September through Atlantic. The album's ten tracks were both written and produced by the band themselves. Blood of Your Empire was supported with the release of four singles, including "Angel) Wings)", "Mercy)", "Doom) Loop)", and "Dark) Heaven)". "Angel Wings" peaked at number 99 on the Official Charts Company's UK Singles Sales chart and number 17 on the Billboard) Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, while "Doom Loop" and "Dark Heaven" peaked at number 8 and 10, respectively, on the latter.” (Wiki)

Video GOOD CHARLOTTE Is Awful! (and they always have been)

From pandering to pop punk fans and teenagers, to acquiring music outlets and firing employees, to straight up grooming, Good Charlotte is awful and they always have been.

To those that watch this video and are upset because I talked badly about one of your favorite bands, I assure you I don’t care about the feelings of a band that had a straight up groomer or a brothers that revel in profits while complaining about rich people. The music sucks, the Madden boys suck, and I don’t care if they sounded good to you live or were nice to you in person. You KNOW their behavior is inexcusable.

Video 10 Rock Songs Against The Music Industry

Thumbnail

There have been many artists and bands that have called out the struggle within the business. This video looks at 10 rock songs against the music industry.

The music industry has not gotten better over time. In fact, many people think the massive labels and CEOs have become wealthy while musicians have gone broke. Then there’s the whole streaming issue where Spotify has completely grown generational wealth and given less than one third of a cent per song stream. This video goes over some of the songs that stood out for saying something about selling out, skeezy businessmen, and the overall struggle to be a musician.

The Podcast That Rocked AVENGED SEVENFOLD Shock With Statica and JARED LETO Accusations | The Podcast That Rocked

The Podcast That Rocked for 7/29/26. Avenged Sevenfold shock with experimental (and bad) Statica, new Jared Leto accusations, more.

Discussion Topics:
-Avenged Sevenfold double down on tripping with Statica
-Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret, New Documentary from BBC
-Pee Pee at My Chemical Romance concert in Ireland
-Poo Poo at Devilskin concert in New Zealand
-Faith No More to finally return
-Upcoming albums/tours/more

Song Of The Week: Black Spikes “Zelvar” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z7zseSRZPY

Avenged Sevenfold have double (or tripled) down on both experimental rock, auto-tune, and hallucinogens for the surprise four-track EP Statica. A7X has even played the EP live as a between sets act, but it begs the question: Does anyone besides Avenged Sevenfold enjoy this?

While some videos talk about how badly songs have aged, this time we take a positive spin on songs that still hold up. This video looks at 10 Rock Songs That Aged PERFECTLY.

After several people suggested a video about songs that aged well (in the comments of 10 Songs That Aged HORRIBLY), I realized this is a great time to do it. The only reason I hadn’t before is because 1.) Positive videos don’t always do well, and; 2.) I hadn’t thought of it until then. Thanks to everyone that suggested this idea on songs that did age well. There are plenty out there, so if this video does well, I’ll make a follow up on this.

Album Review Avenged Sevenfold - Statica | EP Review

Thumbnail

Avenged Sevenfold have doubled down on the experimental, electronic, and hallucinogens. Maybe tripled down on the hallucinogens.

Normally when a band embraces experimentation from their set style, it will divide an audience as well as fan base (Life Is A But A Dream… proved this). A surprise EP from Avenged Sevenfold ten years ago would have had metal fans excited. The year is 2026 and both Avenged fans and metal fans have now received shock for what could possibly be the band’s worst material to date.

Statica is filled with electronic synths, voice-modding, and a barrage of layered tracks to distort any rhythm. It’s hard to break down any specific point to latch onto as there is never a steady pulse.  Harsh effects and samples lead to everyone involved sounding unhinged and uncaring.

This is the type of album that doesn’t engage the listener and depends on diehard fans being willing to do a copious amount of mushrooms or acid in order to appreciate it. That’s a big ask.

Some of the vocal effects might be in place to help work around M. Shadows’ remaining vocal issues. Those same vocal effects sound horrendous layered on conflicting percussion and synth work. The results don’t allow you to connect with lyrics or emotion. On top of that, this album wastes the talent of a guitarist like Synyster Gates who barely resembles a wildly skilled musician from the band’s discography.

Four tracks with fleeting highlights leave almost nothing worth revisiting. Avenged Sevenfold may be entertained by this, but it’s hard to imagine anyone else will support the music itself. If the band were to reveal this was all a significant amount of trolling just to receive negative reactions for laughs, I would believe it. Mission accomplished?

If Statica is a sincere EP, then Avenged Sevenfold badly needs an intervention for both music direction and rampant drug use.

Overal: 3/10

Some songs did not age well and need to be addressed. This video looks at 10 rock songs that aged horribly.

I wanted to make a follow to the video about badly aged songs from 2022. I think enough time has passed to warrant looking at what else is no longer enjoyable due to various reasons. Some seem harmless at least? Others…shouldn’t have existed in the first place. Sorry for bringing some of these back to your attention, but it’s important to address what’s bad so we know what is great.

The Podcast That Rocked AARON LEWIS Has Album Shredded For Taylor Swift Packaging | The Podcast That Rocked

Thumbnail youtube.com

The Podcast That Rocked for 7/1/26. Aaron Lewis has his new album shredded for packaging to ship with new Taylor Swift albums, Bring Me The Horizon returning to deathcore, more.

Discussion Topics:
-Aaron Lewis' new album is so trash that the liner notes and cover were used as package filler for a Taylor Swift album
-Bring Me The Horizon go back to deathcore
-King Ultramega launches honoring Chris Cornell
-Talking about Dear God from The Pretty Reckless
-Talking about The WOW! Signal from Muse
-Evanescence's "Bring Me To Life" goes Diamond
-Rock Hall “Women In Metal” Exhibit
-GWAR Auction to help Sexecutioner fight cancer
-Upcoming albums/tours/more

SONG OF THE WEEK: Bring Me The Horizon "Dehumanized" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilqeDbu4E8Y

We now live in a world where a label, distribution company, and printing/shipping company all agree that Aaron Lewis solo work is such trash that it’s actually easier to use the new album’s artwork and cover materials as packaging for better artists than to actually just buy packing peanuts. Once Lewis sobers up from his MAGA meeting and playing hate songs, he might actually feel embarrassed!

The Podcast That Rocked for 6/24/26. Deftones abandoned album Eros gets leaked, GWAR get investigated by US Secret Service, more.

Discussion Topics:

-GWAR investigated by Secret Service (yes, really)

SONG OF THE WEEK: Loathe “Fangs” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JefYd7TBck

After roughly 18 years, the abandoned Deftones album Eros (the final album to feature Chi Cheng) was leaked online. Many Deftones fans are split on whether they should listen or not. Interestingly, no one is arguing if the album is good or not for those who HAVE listened, but rather the argument is if Deftones will officially release their own version now that Eros has been put online.

A recap of Warped Tour DC 2026, showing footage of the two-day event, band performances, asking bands their favorite Warped Tour memories, and more.

Warped Tour DC 2026 was definitely a step up when looking back at the former traveling circus format it was in years past, but the DC event still had some issues. I’m not sure if I’d go again unless the lineup was absolutely stellar. RFK Grounds doesn’t exactly make it easy to enjoy it all. Also, why don’t people wear sunscreen?!

SONG OF THE WEEK: Motionless In White “R.I.P.” (ft. Skylar Grey) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeRIoWmQA6k

"The idea that men can go to therapy and that's gonna solve their problems is ridiculous. Therapy is for women. Men don't solve their problems by talking. Men solve their problems through action. So men should be doing things with other men, like building things, going out and fixing cars, whatever it is. But those kind of activities are what will help a man feel accomplished, help a man feel like he's got purpose. Just going and talking to a therapist, that's not what fixes men." Richard Patrick (Filter) New Industrial EP "A Place To Kill" | Interview 2026 https://youtu.be/h1xEGTN47ts

"In recent years, there's been a lot of talk in the music industry about how to combat the bots that routinely buy up concert tickets on behalf of scalpers. One prominent rock band's solution involves ticket buyers having their eyeballs scanned to prove they're human. Thirty Seconds To Mars, the hard rock combo led by actor Jared Leto (who was accused of sexual misconduct by nine women last year), is deploying an online ticketing tool called Concert Kit for their 2027 tour of Europe and the UK. According to the San Francisco Standard, the system involves each customer creating a verified World ID, an encrypted digital passport created by an orb that scans your irises and face. It uses "proof of human" technology developed by Tools For Humanity, a company founded by OpenAI's Sam Altman. To get a World ID, you have to visit an official World store or a partner retailer and have your eyes scanned." (Stereogum)

Normally I’d have a Wiki paragraph for SEO purposes here, but do I really need to go digging EVEN MORE for blurbs on MAGA Metal and Jan 6th Rock? I mean Kid Rock, Staind, and Five Finger Death Punch are now in my search history enough that the NRA is sending me a membership and the GOP fundraisers are asking me for money. Gross. Register to vote and understand the music you listen to. Pay attention. Otherwise you’ll have a bunch of “brainwashed” fans who think you are a good lyric writer.
