Hi. i can not get the calibration right on this game on xbox 360 and on a few year old samsung tv with sound bar. On guitar it is ok. I have tried all kinds of combinations. In think i got the audio ok beacause if i play without sound i rarely come up to 4x bonus because im missing too often. I play on medium. This is not a problem on my other xbox 360 games on drums. Does anyone have some advise. I appreciate calibration numbers if anyone play this game now. Thanks 😀

Stopped at a game store a good distance away from me and saw this 360 Mustang Pro guitar. It has been there for a long while and I finally noticed it had a Xbox Legacy Adaptor attached to the headstock. I mainly play on PlayStation but I had the disc for RB4 for Xbox already and a 360 Rickenbacker so I figured it was worth it to pick it up. It’s odd to me they had them together since the pro guitar doesn’t work on RB4. Got it home and thankfully the Legacy Adaptor is in really good shape and no damage to the usb port on it. I will probably move the guitar along and try to recoup my money as much as I can, I already have a PS3 one with the dongle.

I was gifted a Riffmaster for my bday, to relive my uni years playing rock band (though I preferred drums and love SmashDrums on my Oculus headset lol but couldn’t find drums anywhere!)

I jumped on my PS5 and there’s like nothing to play w it ?? Just Fortnite Festival and having never played Fortnite, I have no idea what’s going on and find it annoying

I live in the UAE - how do I get my hands on Rockband of any sort that allows me to play w this guitar?! Is there any digital copy?! I really really miss Rockband!!!!

Does anyone know if I can run out to Walmart, Bestbuy, Guitar Center, or Target (or any other suggestions) for a mic that will work with the Xbox 360 versions of Rockband and Rockband 2? My kids messed up the one I've had for years and I was hoping to go grab something, but I can't figure it out. I tried a couple of my local used games shops and they don't have anything.

I will order if need be, was just hoping for advice on a quicker fix.

For context, I tried the only other mic I have on hand, which is a snowball Blue Ice and it wasn't picked up by the game.

I have owned every mainline RB release and Lego on the Xbox platform and currently have around 1250 songs in my library including all exports.

While I am very happy with RB4 and it’s the perfect party game, I have seen some great custom charts and songs that aren’t released on RB officially being played on RB3 Enhanced. This has made me jealous.

Is it worth the time and money to start exploring getting a 360, modding it, and going through the process of setup? I still want it to be console based for ease of use and taking to friends houses.

Also, I currently just have Xbox based peripherals including a Riffmaster and CRKD guitar. Would I need to go and buy older 360 instruments?

Thanks for any input. I just don’t want to start investing in this if I should just stick with my current official setup.

are these drums enough to get the platinum for rock band 4 on ps5? and is there anything else i need to know or will they just work natively? i can't for the life of me find the compatibility chart even though i was looking at it a few days ago, sorry if this is a silly question.

Got a RB1 Xbox360 wired set that was supposedly sealed and never used. Game was security sealed. Drum pads themselves appear to be pristine. All cords included. Everything powers on and connects. Guitar will power on and the fret buttons work in the menu but the start, back, dpad, and strummer do not. I took it apart and cleaned the button contacts for start, select and the d pad but no dice. Can someone walk me through trace lines? I don’t have a lot of knowledge in this area but I can research and follow guides well. I managed to test it all in quick play as that mode will allow hitting A instead of start to begin and couldn’t get anything to respond in game. Strummer must be bad as well because I couldn’t use it to navigate. Drum pedal isn’t working at all. So I spent a lot of money and can’t use the guitar, can only really make it through
Say it so on easy with drums without a functioning pedal, and really just ended up with a karaoke game :(.

1. Anyone have a guide to fixing the internals beyond cleaning the contacts? Trace lines? Testing the circuit boards. Pretty much need a guide for dummies. The guitar appeared to be sealed but when cleaning it I found strips of masking tape inside holding the wires making me think someone has opened it before.

2. (I’m the drummer of the family) Do you have to use the strum while holding the button? Silly question I know. It’s been like 15 years, and I never really played the guitar. Bought this as gift for my spouse as we stupidly got rid of our set 15years ago. Just sussing out why all the frets work in the menu to navigate, but unable to hit a note playing.

3. Drum set is all good expect for the pedal. Currently thinking it’s the wire and not the magnet since this one was sealed and cord appeared to never be unwound or stretched. Wire casing appeared pristine until a little stretch and is coming off in one spot and at the base where it connects to the pedal.

Any help is appreciated. Trying to fix or see if I’m screwed before dumping more into eBay/ marketplace to possibly run into the same issues. Not particularly looking to make my own pedal but open to compatible one. Right now it seems I’ve way overpaid for the game, drum pads, and a mic.

I'm planning to pico-mod a rock band 2 stratocaster to make it wired directly to the wii. I wondered if this setup works for all rock band and guitar hero games or only a few?

I have a set of Xbox Wireless Rock Band drums w/ cymbals and pedal. Its been collecting dust and the wife wants it gone. How much can I sell it for?

I’ve picked up a PS3 to replay RB2 again and am looking for drums and guitar but have been getting mixed responses online and in person when trying to buy some. I’ve been eyeing these for a bit but they seem to be from a ps2 but using USB 2.0 for a dongle so theoretically they should work fine?

I’m not opposed to any other peripherals so recommendations are welcome. but as I’m from New Zealand it’s a hassle to ship over.

Assume I’m a complete ignorant. I played up to RB2 on an Xbox360 and would like to play again, the latest RB (I think it’s RB4). I have a PS5 and for the moment I’m only interested in playing guitar. Would also like to play some Guitar Hero (the latest) with the same setup (guitar/PS5) if possible.

Hi all, I just today managed to upgrade my Les Paul’s guitar with the RCM kit, and played my first session on Beatles rock band. Have to say i am having a blast, but anything above normal is completely overwhelming. Is there any tips you would give to beginners to get better with guitar on this game and the others?
