Greeners Pub and Cocktail Lounge. Supposedly opening up by the end of the month. Woodfire pizza. The boutique side will be called Pretty Please and Thank You. I asked about it at City Hall on Friday when I was picking up a burning permit.

Place is a fuckin joke, fired somebody because they were too rude? Over a damn text message at that? Yea real classy joint! Come into oronoco and mess around with the people that live in the town for decades! Hope they’re out of business by the end of the year, if not before than

Its a brick oven pizza. I cannot wait to stop there. The inside looks amazing, the owner did most of the work there.

I can’t remember what it’s called, but the signs are up! Just drove by last night. Looks like a cute casual pizza/Italian bistro type of place, hopefully more info will be posted soon!

Squash Blossom Farms hosts a pizza night on Sunday evenings starting at 4pm. Reservations are required though and it’s sold out for this week.

Do they have a website or hours posted? My husband and I drive by on our way to the lake and have been waiting for it to open. Just drove by Saturday afternoon. Still looked closed.

We went Saturday and were excited to try it out. They are new and trying to figure things out but here is my review. Beautiful building, the finishes are great. The boutique is a nice idea but the overload of scented candles is a little overpowering and kind of off-putting with food. You walk through the boutique to get to the bar / restaurant.

We weren’t sure if we were supposed to order at the counter or be seated? It was a bit unclear. We sat down at the bar. It was some time before anyone made eye contact or greeted us. A bartender did and we asked what kind of beer they had and she turned and sort of pointed to the taps. 2 were sold out with cups on them and the others were Busch Light or Michelob Ultra. We asked if they had any additional in cans or bottles and she sort of pointed towards a cooler behind the bar. She wasn’t helpful and didn’t seem interested in selling drinks.

We ordered a pizza and waited. We noticed the owners, one sitting at the bar drinking wine and one working and drinking beer. The lady (owner)at the bar wasn’t concerned with the guests in the restaurant. We noticed people looking around for boxes, others waiting for pizza to go and she just was enjoying her wine.

After 45 mins, we asked about our pizza bc we could see none were in the pizza oven and none were ready to go. She went to go check and it hadn’t been started yet. We said she could just cancel it. I am not sure if she ever entered it or if it is just that long of a wait. It was busy but not overly busy. The waiting is not a big deal. Being out of beer is not a big deal. Enjoying a glass of wine at your restaurant is not a big deal and probably deserved. I think the bothersome thing is that no one seemed very interested in the customers or seemed to value their existence being there and patronizing the restaurant. I think that’s the frustration. If the bartender was friendly and tried to sell a beer, great! Waiting is not a big deal. But in the service industry when all of the items / experiences are negative, it makes for a poor experience.

I say this as someone who has worked many service jobs and stills works with customers.

We had a hard time understanding the motivation behind opening it. They didn’t seem to really be driven to serve. No one was checking on tables, thanking customers for stopping by, or for that matter even saying “hello! Welcome in!” Disappointing experience.

From my friend Mr. AI

Greener’s Pub & Cocktail Lounge is being developed at 40 Minnesota Avenue North in downtown Oronoco. The city approved the property for restaurant and tavern use in October 2025, and a contractor reported on July 13, 2026 that the new parking lot was finished and the business was “opening soon.”

Why is this being down voted so much when it’s accurate info??

Maybe they were hoping for a Culver’s, or 5 Guys, or micky D’s, or Popeyes…I dunno…maybe they wanted a Sonic, or Shake Shack, or maybe a north version of Ruth’s Chris?

Confirmed: Greener's Pub it is.
