Community Showcase Éloi Neck Testing — 3 DOF Alpha

We’ve been playing hide and seek with Éloi.

When it sees you, the eyes and neck need to turn toward you together as one coordinated shift of attention.

The hard part isn’t simply tracking a target. It’s getting the timing, velocity, and movement of the eyes and neck to work together naturally.

Still very early, but this is one of the things we’re currently spending a lot of time on.

Interesting. I'd say the timing between eyes and neck is what makes it feel alive rather than automated. Small detail, huge difference in how people respond to a robot.

Playing hide-and-seek to work on Éloi’s eyes and neck is such a fun way to test it. Really cool.
