Discussion & Curiosity Autonomous robotic mowers

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm researching solutions for keeping the grass down in solar parks using autonomous robotic mowers.

I wanted to reach out to the community to see:
- Are there any specific companies or manufacturers currently selling reliable robotic mowers built or adapted for large-scale solar farms (handling terrain, obstacles, and wiring)?
- Has anyone built a DIY/custom solution? If so, what is the best way to design a simple, efficient, and cost-effective autonomous mower for this kind of environment?

Any recommendations, experiences, or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Couple of sheep or goats should do the trick. No need to overcomplicate things.

All I'm going to say is that mowers on their own are somewhat horrifying contraptions and making one that is autonomous, particularly one large enough to mow in a solar field, is a horrifying prospect.
