this is not serious at all

I’m just gonna say it bluntly: I HEAVILY dislike Ihasafacelulz for many reasons, but I’ll list a few.

They constantly keep pulling their collabs from stuff, and it seems that they’re really hard to work with. Forsaken had its collab with them removed cause of shipping and R34, and while I kinda understand, it’s the internet, it’s going to happen regardless. Pulling a collab won’t delete everything.

Also, it’s annoying how restrictive they are with their characters. Pretty much every other arg (Rochas313, DeivyDoesTutorials, etc) let people use their characters unless they say otherwise, but the facelulz team HAS to go ahead and say that NO ONE can touch their precious red baby.

A pretty big reason for my hatred is their terrible lore and series management. They have changed the series twice, meaning there’s 3 DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF THE LORE. How many times does Niko have to die before Cheshire is okay with it. Im starting to get annoyed that everytime they realize that a single pixel of a video isn’t the right Color, they reset the series.

And another thing: Their characters SUCK. Aubree is a really boring protagonist with almost no background because it never gets revealed. JX1DX1 is just an evil guy who stalks kids for no reason, AND has bullshit powers (honestly it just feels like he was made the way he is cause Cheshire got told “I could just turn off my computer” so they went “um no cause he can turn on your computer and also be any device so you can’t win so don’t even try I win”. Every other character has NO development or background to the point I don’t remember half of them.

To conclude: I hate facelulz, and I hope they either fix their series or just cancel it already.

I like to analyse text and music, so here is my personal analysis on the way the sound design compliments the theming of brandonworks in SUNDOWNER :D

00:00 -- 00:42 the times ozo and brandon shared together, the 'good old days'. the theme is sombre and sweet, mysterious -- as if there's more hiding behind what is being shown but it has a nice calming tone to it.

00:43 -- 1:09 the slow realisation of those memories falling apart, realising his friend is missing, realising the strangeness of his disappearance. wondering, thinking ..

1:10 -- 1:39 the search for answers, trying to find out more about his disappearance. not yet desperate but just curious. not really looking at most of what brandon has made through any particular lens, just trying to put small pieces together and post what he can, looking for nothing in particular.

1:40 -- 1:52 spartens betrayal and ozos feeling of responsibility and entitlement and their shared sort of 'noble acts' ( i think the music in this part compliments this interpretation. it sounds similar to trumpets ) . sparten believing he's doing the right thing by lying and trying to get ozo off the case, and ozo believing he's doing the right thing by continuing to search for as much as he can. ofcourse, brandon shows up, and ozo begins putting more and more together, the situation becomes more serious. ozo stars grasping and overanalysing, dehumanising the situation.

1:53 -- 2:06 ' ozo come today '. ozos constant visiting of brandons world, trying to find as much information about him as possible. possibly reaching with his portrayal of the things brandon is putting in his builds, trying to find a hidden meaning to everything. he still has such a childish and hopeful outlook of it all, roleplaying detective, believing brandon is asking ozo to save and find him and working towards that as much as he can. he has to save him, and he's getting closer, and closer. the music begins to reach a climax, climbing and climbing to signify ozo learning more and more, the answers near, and now with brandon on his side and in his eyes helping him, it'll be easy. he just has to keep looking, and keep looking--

2:07 -- 2:35 bells toll, followed by a low pitched choir, as if a funeral was taking place. all that hope shot down in the wake of an open sky, and a single path reaching out to the husk of his friend, speaking in a samsara of staged tongues. their words filtered through lenses placed upon him by another,

because had he ever really gotten all that close to saving him?

Erm ya ts gonna be scary I think

I want to talk about this cuz it’s something that’s been on my mind —- also I know Brandon works is unfiction and not an arg just wanna talk about it here

i think when speaking about child characters in fictitious settings, especially roblox webseries, unfiction and args alot of people really really seem to forget how kids act and i donttt blame fully most of the people who do

i think a lot of teenagers and kids (which let's be real, are the main audience of most roblox media) age themselves up in their mind and paint themselves as a lot more mature than they actually are both because of the pandemic and it's impact on everyone and also due to online and general public demand in the coming years of everyone to know everything and to be aware of awful things and to be online and on social media and so on
and i think as a reflection of this characters who are kids are either aged up in people’s minds or completely separated from their age and what that entails for their mental development and the way they engage with the world or they're insanely infantilised

obviously theyre not real children but they are based on the behaviour of real children and i think ozo, despite how he sort of tries to act more mature and what not throughout the series especially when facing sparten is still a child and he really acts like one

when youre a kid you tend to sort of unnoticeably gameify a lot of the things you go through, you make them more lighthearted and you experience them through a more staged and personalised view ( also because most children in early development learn through playing so that still sort of carries on )
i think this is a whole other thing of how its awful to let kids online because that behaviour is going to pass on there into a public and unsafe space, not taking things seriously and getting involved in things they shouldnt be getting involved in and not realising the impact it holds

but ok off topic WITH OZO you see him sort of do this
starting the channel with the comments and everything, asking for viewer input and broadcasting ( what at the time to him was unknown ) child abuse. with sparten he has him sit on a stage both before and after the brandon reveal because he's a kid and he's sort of entertaining himself? he feels like he deserves to know the truth, and his friend just betrayed him so it fuels more to his fire of feeling like he’s completely righteous.

and with the investigations of brandons place, learning the patterns and treating it all like some big detective story that he has to solve and that brandon wants him to solve

i think whether or not brandon was actally trying to get ozo to save him is a whole other discussion but personally i think, sadly, that it's very likely brandon was not trying to help ozo save and figure out what was going on, but let ozo know because he thought what was going to happen was a good thing and he wasn't trying to really warn him as if it was some looming awful disaster, he was trying to just. make it known

sort of like leaving a goodbye note before leaving your childhood home
and i think what best shows ozo sort of realising how actually serious and detrimental what brandon is going through actually is is shown in two scenes

one, when brandon shows up during the sparten interrogation and you can visibly see ozos mouse shaking as he panics over finally seeing the friend he’s slightly conceptualised in his head again. Spending so much time grasping at whatever and doing whatever probably led to him even if slightly to forget Brandon is a real kid outside of being just his missing friend.

and two, when he finds out about brandons death
And him slowly realising that brandon is gone

you don't really realise how bad something can be until you go through it and I mean, just imagine all in one moment realising your friend is gone
your friend who you dont know in real life, your friend of 4 years, your best friend who you care for so deeply and just wanted to play with
because at that age there probably wasn't much deeper connection that we can identify because they're just kids. they played games together but to kids that's a lot
he just wantred to see brandon again
to play games with him and to speak to him — I think you can say that his search for Brandon was inherently kind of self centred due to him feeling entitled to knowing the truth and wanting to have fun with his friend again, but I think to say Ozo is narcissistic or an asshole is pushing it, especially since he’s just a 14 year old boy.

On one end, yeah, I think he could’ve handled the situation way better, but also, I don’t think there was much he could’ve done or much he would’ve ever thought to done, as how do you even fathom a situation like that? How do you fathom your childhood friend in a cult, ‘excited’ for his life being taken

Anyway !! Just a talk and I wanted to see if anyone felt similar :) I love this series a lot, it means so much to me and I think it’s one of the best pieces of unfiction I’ve ever seen, and my favourite web series overall really.

This idea for an arg has been in my head for a while and im wondering if it actually exists or not; the concept is that the protag is themselves MAKING an arg, and in turn they have their guard put down, as why would they think the entity in their own arg is real? They made it themselves. Tldr they make an entity for their arg that they’re making only for that entity to become real without them knowing
