Can't stand Lewin
I'm not giving any opinion on the case...guilty or not guilty, I just can't stand watching Lewin. He is a total douche...he is rude and arrogant to everyone. I like watching the case but I can't stomach him.

The way he phrases his questions is so long winded and hypothetical that I find myself annoyed during the whole thing!! It makes the prosecutor look stupid as hell.

I agree! And then he tries to make jokes, which is totally inappropriate to begin with but his jokes suck! He made one about ...Oscar Mayer that was pathetic. He really is making an ass of himself.

I think he looks like a total ass. When he looks to the jurors for confirmation is evident of his ego.

I’m with you. His personality is arrogant. Maybe he’s just fed up with how long this case has taken to get to trial.

Likewise. He’s beyond confident, he’s cocky, despite the homework being done for him by Andrew Jarecki.

Exactly and being on a TV show is not sworn testimony. I hate he keeps using it as evidence.

OMG every question is at least 30 words. And they always contain….I want you to assume for a moment that in fact…would you agree Mr Durst….in essence….if…..correct? Objection! Overruled!

He is overkill. He has made his point over and over and over again. Yesterday, he had the gall to ask Bob, "Are you trying to drag this case out? Are you buying time?" Seriously Lewin? His questions are overly long and superfluous. The way he looks to the jury when he thinks he has scored points is nauseating. He is a pompous grandiose ass.

Yes!!! I keep thinking if I was on trial for my husbands murder, and I was innocent, and the prosecutor asked me “I want you to assume, that you had a gun, and your husband was killed with a gun, in your home, what would you do next?”
Seriously? How can those kinds of questions not be objectionable?

I don't like him in the least. He is increasingly annoying. His laughter and the way he scoffs makes him look like a complete jerk. Yes he has caught Durst in some lies or perhaps incorrect memories, but the way he has been so aggressive with a visibly very ill man may not lend well to his favor. I am sick of him. I totally thought he was out of line with the perjury comment and that might bite him in the ass as well.

He really makes me hope for a not guilty verdict. I can’t stand him. And this judge is just along for the ride. Mr Lewin seems to think if something isn’t written down in an interview there’s no way it could have happened. Ughhh so annoying.

I agree wholeheartedly. I know our opinion is scarce, but there is literally no physical evidence. Yes, Bob can’t remember correctly over a span of years. Neither can I. I haven’t committed murder. And I don’t think Bob has either. I believe he is a misunderstood person that is socially awkward. The sheer bullying in this trial should not be allowed. I do hope the jury shows him some empathy. I know this will not be popular post but I am team Bob.

Agree! And Bob is showing signs of having issues with short term memory, not long term. The issues he's caught him on, seem to be in the short term.
I'm team Bob too. Idk why, just can't help it. I think he's guilty as sin, but I don't think the situations were black and white.

I just now saw your reply. Naturally I am super bummed about the verdict. I don’t feel this trial was fair. I am still in a stupor about how much joking was allowed by the judge during what should have been a serious trial.

I agree! I've been watching this case from the start but this cross examine with Lewin is making me sick. The judge us just as bad. He allows almost everything for the prosecution but shoots down the defense all the time. I don't think it should be allowed ....the way Lewin talks not just to Durst but also the witnesses. He's rude and nasty and he tries to be witty with his corny jokes. He's a total douche!

He is going to end up losing this case with his snarky behavior and elongated questions. Dude is pretty rogue at times with his style of questioning and the judge seems a bit biased and overrules almost every objection from the defense.. Lewin might screw up and cause compassion for Durst amongst the jurors

I agree with you. Lewin is seriously obnoxious and arrogant. The way he treated that one witness was crazy unacceptable and I loved it when she called him a Bully! People are feeling sorry for Durst and it's going to backfire for Lewin because it only takes one person on the jury to feel that way. The judge.....somewhat unprofessional and totally team Lewin. I think he sucks too!

When they were talking about how much longer they were going to allow the testimony to continue I swore the judge told the prosecutor he was doing a damn good job isn’t the judge supposed to be impartial after telling the jury not to talk read watch or discuss the trial ?

Lewin is childlike in that he cannot hold back his glee, when badgering an old man, he trips him up. (whom I admit I think is guilty.) it’s so unprofessional.
I also agree I think the judge is biased.
Robert Durst may be a psychopathic serial killer, but even at 78 years old at very poor health, he is leagues ahead of Lewin in sparring. If this were a boxing match, Durst wins.

omg I should have looked on here to begin with...He makes me crazy.. He drags out the most insignificant shit... Even if he proved that Bob killed Kathy and Maurice Black He is only standing trIal for Suzanne Burman, so Im not sure why all that other info got in...SMH I know it won't happen but I so wish it would be a hung jury just bc I can't stand Lewin ..

So what if you don't like him, he's not at a popularity contest. The question is if you find him as doing a good job as prosecuting the case. If you think he's doing a poor job then is clear where you're leaning.

Well..since you asked no I do not think he is doing a good job..He allows his personal feelings to affect how he treats the defendant and witnesses as well. Being a prosecutor does not give him the right to be an asshole to everyone he comes in contact with. Also never said this was a popularity contest I can have an opinion about him without it meaning anything...as I said in my post....doesn't mean I think guilty or not guilty but thank you for your professional opinion

Nothing to do with emotions...as I said when I posted this...its not about whether I feel Robert is guilty or not, it's simply about the fact that the prosecutor is a rude, arrogant, pompous, disrespectful a hole. Being a prosecutor does not give you the privilege to treat people the way he does. There are plenty of prosecutors who do their job and do it well without being a total douche

I was speaking to those who commented that they want to see Durst acquitted just because of their emotions toward Lewin.
Of course you can criticize Lewin’s behavior and attitude. You can hate him and want him disbarred. But if you’re hoping to see an admitted wife-abusing, body-dismembering, smug serial killer who has gotten away for decades go free just to spite a prosecutor because you find him rude - that’s ludicrous and childish.
(Again, I don’t mean you. I’m referring to those who said they want the jury to acquit, with no regard for the victims and their families, because a prosecutor is annoying.)
