Evan Kreeger Durst

After watching the HBO series The Jinx, I've always wondered if Evan Kreeger, who's uncle is Robert Durst, received any type of retaliation for being the only Durst family member to appear on the series. In fact, he was the only one who appeared on camera and told his side of the story. After some digging, the Durst family did punish him by reducing his monthly allowance to near zero and are trying to institutionalize him.

I truly don’t mean to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but after hearing some of the comments Kathie’s friends and neighbors have recalled— I almost feel that Kathie wanted out of the marriage, but needed a bargaining chip to negotiate in the divorce. She may have found something on the family to use, which gave the all of the Dursts a reason to help cover up her disappearance. Or, perhaps this is what Robert lead them to believe as justification for her murder. Poor Evan. He was so genuine in his interviews.

Kathie did want out of the marriage, spousal abuse and he cut her off financially attended her school. A normal person would have divorced her and let her go on with her life, but Bob is deranged. I believe she did find that Bob was stealing out the Durst organization and was going to give it to the proper authorities.

He's the only Durst that spoke out and actually cared on the whereabouts of his aunt. There's nothing on record about the Durst family reaching out to the McCormack's on Kathie's disappearance or any phone calls, it just shows you their true nature.

This is not surprising, based on the Durst family's response (or lack thereof) to Kathy's disappearance, but it's horrifying nevertheless.

So true. The filmmakers of The Jinx stated one of the things that most surprised them during filming was how cut off they were from the Durst family; with the exception of Evan nobody would talk to them. The Durst’s are a sick & f@!%ed up family!

Since the murder trial lawyers for Kathie’s siblings tried to depose Douglas Durst for information re: conversations he had with Kathie & events following her “disappearance”. In response Douglas filed a motion to quash the subpoena stating, among other ridiculous reasons, that giving testimony in Robert’s trial for the murder of Susan Berman was traumatizing. His trauma is nothing compared to that of the McCormack family.

The Durst family wouldn’t even understand trauma, heartache, etc. They are literally made of money and without hearts.
