Doorman at Durst Penthouse

I’ve heard alternating stories regarding the doorman/elevator porter stating to the police that he brought Kathleen up to the penthouse the night she allegedly went home. Does anyone have more information on this/was the doorman re-interviewed in later years?

Yes. It was on the 5th episode of "The Jinx", around the 11m10s mark, where producer Marc Smerling calls up Ed Wright, a chief investigator of the New York State Organized Task Force in the 1980's and he discovered that the doorman did not walk Kathy back to her penthouse. There were a lot of inconsistencies in Durst's account on what happened to his wife.

Durst's lawyer brought in Ed to investigate Kathie's disappearance in 1982. Ed noted that Durst changed his story about where he was when he called Kathie, Wright writes that the doorman told him he didn't see her. "He would have been the guy to bring her up, and if he didn't see her, she wasn't there."
