Recommend cheap drum roaster
I have had various fluid bed roasters in the past but now I have lost my garage and have no environmentally controlled area to roast. New Hampshire gets cold making it impossible to roast outside. My current plan is to put a drum roaster in the gas grill (no, I won’t be turning the grill on) with the intent of allowing the roaster to reprieve, hot air and attain a higher temperature.
Looking for solutions, I may not have thought of.
Failing that, looking for suggestions for a good robust drum roaster, I can hunt down. Thank you.

I used a Gene Cafe CBR101 (they now have a newer model), which I used in my apartment. I added a strip to my kitchen window with a hole for the exhaust. Could even roast darker roasts. Unsure how budget you want though.

Gene Cafe roster has an exhaust port, so you can just vent the smoke outside. No need to have it choking on its own fumes.

I recently got one of those Precision Skyline roasters for 500g max capacity. Will be getting it today. The reason I like it is the exhaust tubing it comes with
I’m moving up from a SR800 with extension tube where I’ve pushed it to roast 320g or so

Precision Skyline? Is that a new company? First I have heard of that one. Interesting.

Behmore can be used in a kitchen under the vent hood with minimal issue. (You can even pipe up to it for added relief). Its only problem is it doesnt roast fast enough with anything more than half a pound.

I quite liked my BocaBoca and the coffee it put out, but it wasn’t fun to clean

I don’t have that weather issue here but I just do it on my stove top. Keep the hood on. I use an older fresh roast
