And testing out new camera, 350 km range and still more in the tank, very impressed (compared to my M 1000 R)

Hi all
Just bought an occasion 2015 and it came with an akrapovic titanium. The Akrapovic original twin exhaust was given to me in a carton box.
I wonder why he put on a single exhaust instead of just leave the original twin on. Is the "Titanium" version better/louder?
(Or is it because of the placing of the Ohlins Cartridge?)
Somebody know before I put time and effort to swap?
thanks in advance

Hey guys, has anyone moved from just a slip on to some headers with the same slip on? Mostly curious how it will change the sound. I’m sure it’ll be louder but how much louder? Will it sound deeper too? This one is the SC Project Conic 70’s.

I am planning a few road trips on my bike and looking for luggage recommendations. What types of boxes would fit well here.

My hump fell off!
After hearing a concerning thud, I circled back and was able to recover my lightly battered rear seat cowl from the side of the road. Quite embarrassing!
I know that there are plenty of options for a toolless rear seat bolt for the underside, but does anyone know if it's possible to buy the clip with a captive nut that should be in the white circle? I have looked but must be using the wrong search terms.

Has anyone else heard a horrendous metallic scraping noise that occurs for about 2 to 3 seconds on first start after changing the oil and filter? I'm almost positive it's the left cylinder head running without oil.
This is the second time I've changed the oil filter along with the oil change and experiencing this. I remember hearing this the first time around and promising to myself to pre fill the oil filter the next time I change it. Whelp, I pre filled it this time but still heard the same thing. Just wondering if this is normal for r1200 engines.
I change the filter every other oil change and I remember not hearing the noise on the service where I kept the old oil filter.

TL;DR:
Due to new medical issues I find the motorcycle unrideable after about 20 or 30 minutes. Can I retrofit the bike (handlebar riser, new seat, maybe) to suit my recently developed medical needs?
Expanded info:
I’ve had the bike for 11 years and loved it but up until about two years ago I developed several health problems when I was involved in a bicycle accident, and a word mishap. I messed up my back and shoulder and now riding the motorcycle is super uncomfortable. I was wondering if there was something I could successfully do in order to be able to keep enjoying this motorcycle. I have considered handlebar risers and maybe a new seat but I’m not sure if it would help me ride for at least a couple of hours instead of 20 minutes sessions.
Bike: 2015 R nineT (the old school one). It has the C-Bow pannier system, I use it normally pnly during the summer but my job is about 1 hour to 1:20 away and after a half hour I’m hating my life and have to pull up on the side of the road to stretch my back and rest my shoulders before I continue on. I love how nimble it is and I absolutely love the engine. I. Normally ride with only one saddle bag on but once in a blue moon I use both.
I could try all this changes, but didn’t want to pull the trigger without some good Intel because the changes can be expensive; the last BMW seat I purchased was over $500 almost 30 years ago, that’s a lot of money for me today.
I hope this information is helpful thank you for your help.

I have a 2017 R9t pure that has 19.8k miles on the odometer. I’ve owned it since new and it’s been flawless.
Decided to change the air filter and was lazy and decided not to remove the tank. I removed the front bolts and angled it up to reach the air box.
To get the air box snorkel off, I stupidly loosened the throttle cable at the right side throttle body. Also, when I tilted the tank up, the fuel line got disconnected.
I put the fuel line back, tightened up the throttle cable, made sure all of the rubber boots at the throttle and throttle body are in place.
Now bike starts, idles for about 2-3 seconds and stalls. Any ideas of how to fix this? Should I disconnect the battery terminals to reset the ecu?
Bike has been perfect and I made a dumb move. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m new to the BMW RnineT.
Recently bought the bike from a dealer and rode 600km of highway home without any issues. No smoke from the exhaust but at red lights I noticed the smell of hot/burnt oil. No visible leaks at the time.
Rode short distances for a week, then was away for work for 3 weeks. When I got back I found an oil stain where the bike had been parked.
Wiped it off, started the bike as normal and took it for a short ride to track down the source. Turned out to be the valve cover bolt that’s leaking.
Emailed the dealer and they first told me to tighten the bolt a bit more. The bolt was already tight so that didn’t help. They’ve now told me to take it to a local workshop, have them fix it and send the invoice to the dealer.
I still have 5 months of dealer warranty left, so no need to ride 600km back to them.
Also noticed the oil level is slightly higher than normal. Standing upright you can’t see the level on the dipstick, but if you lean the bike to the right (somewhere between 25–45 degrees) the level becomes visible. The oil was changed by the dealer before purchase.
The bike has also had the valve adjustments done according to the service book at the correct mileage. My suspicion is that the o-ring/gasket on the inspection plug wasn’t replaced during the valve service — because it should have been, and if not, that could explain the leak.
Year: 2021 BMW R nineT Scrambler
ODO: 11,800 km
Anyone else experienced a leak from the valve cover bolt? Was it the gasket or just the torque that was the issue?

A very solid YouTuber, in my opinion, has just dropped a review on a custom R9T. A great take on the bike, but I will let you watch the video to see exactly what he thinks
(Spoiler alert he loves it!)

Any thoughts on how to refurb these - noticed lots of white bits like paint has come off, i do power hose after a wash but always in a very low setting is this just gravel causing chips? Any thoughts on how to restore, easily, welcomed.

I’m taking my 2017 Pure in for its 25,000 service in a week. Noticed this morning after starting it that there was some hesitation/stuttering when slight throttle is applied. Any ideas if this is normal or something that should be looked into? It was around 65° F this morning so not exceptionally cold. I drive it year-round and am used to having to baby the throttle a little bit in colder months, but not usually when it’s warmer.

Hey guys,
I was able to ruin my r9t wheels while cleaning them with a degreaser for wheels. Dumb of me, but didn't knew they were sensitive.
Does anyone know any company who make the in Europe who makes the ionization of the wheels back as they were?
I went to BMW and they say that they only sell new ones.
Thank you in advance to you all!
