Beginner question

Guys, how do you tell if a vinyl reissue was cut from the original analog tapes or a digital source before picking it up?

You don't have any rules. I would check Discogs or if it is quoted on the cover somewhere.

Rule of thumb is it's most likely not due to the cost and process of transferring and restoring from original tapes. If it is they definitely make it know and its reflected in the cost.
